Callaway launches new Quantum irons
Callaway has today introduced its all-new Quantum irons which arrive in three models: Max, Max OS (super game-improvement) and Max Fast.
The new Quantum irons are underpinned by Callaway’s Modern 360 Undercut cavity that’s designed to deliver fast ball speeds and high launch in a refined game-improvement shaping. This advanced two-piece design provides perimeter weighting and a fully exposed undercut for added flex where golfers need it most.

The Progressive Tri-Sole Design in the Quantum irons also promotes cleaner, more consistent contact across the set, with a re-engineered sole geometry that adapts from long irons to wedges for smooth turf interaction and efficient speed retention.

Callaway Quantum Max Iron
Callaway Quantum Irons Key Technologies:
- Modern 360° Undercut: The Modern 360° Undercut Cavity is designed to deliver faster ball speeds, higher launch, and more forgiveness across the face, thanks to its advanced two-piece design with extreme perimeter weighting and a fully exposed undercut for added flex where golfers need it most.
- Progressive Tri-Sole Design: The Progressive Tri-Sole Design is designed to promote cleaner, more consistent contact across the set, with a reengineered sole geometry that adapts from long irons to wedges for smooth turf interaction and efficient speed retention — even on heavy strikes.
- Next Generation Ai-Optimized Face Design: The Next Generation AI-Optimized Face bids to deliver faster ball speeds and more consistent launch, spin, and dispersion by shaping the face to match real-world impact patterns and expand the sweet spot.
- Urethane Microspheres: Urethane Microspheres enhance sound and feel at impact by absorbing unwanted vibration, in a bid to deliver a softer, forged-like sensation in a high-speed game-improvement head.

Quantum Max Irons

The Quantum Max irons are designed to inspire confidence with powerful speed, consistent carry, and forgiving performance across the face.

The irons feature a clean, modern shape that aims to help golfers hit more solid and consistent strikes with control.

Quantum Max OS Irons

The Quantum Max OS irons are designed to blend confidence with maximum forgiveness, powerful speed, and consistent carry.

The irons feature an oversized shape designed to help golfers hit it more solid across the face.

Quantum Max Fast Irons

The Quantum Max Fast irons are a lightweight, easy-to-launch iron designed to help you get more height, speed, and distance.

This model is designed to be fast and forgiving, while also promoting a high launch for moderate swing speed golfers with its oversized shaping.

Neal Shipley, AKA, the “Big Fridge’s,” custom stamping
Neal Shipley was the first to admit that he enjoyed his food while in college. But since his days at Ohio State, he’s slimmed down and earned a PGA Tour Card.
That hasn’t stopped him from having fun with his wedge stampings, though it’s led to some misunderstandings.
On the 54 (degree), we have ‘Big Fudge,'” Shipley told GolfWRX. “It was supposed to be ‘Big Fridge,’ so this happened a little while ago. ‘Big Fridge’ was a nickname between my college teammates and I, with ‘fridge’ meaning stomach, a big stomach.

“We told the Ping guys to put … ‘Big Fridge’ on it, and I think maybe some bad cell service or something, and they thought I said ‘fudge,’ so they put fudge on it.”
On Shipley’s 50-degree he also continues the food theme, this time with his go-to order at the “Golden Arches,” and his stamping “DONS 7.”
“The number 7 meal, the two cheeseburger meal, that was my McDonald’s order, back when I would have McDonald’s frequently,” Shipley shared.

These irons look like they came out in 2005 and those prices are absolutely insane.

Insane? Those prices are literally cheaper than 90% of todays iron market. Basically $200/club is the starting point for most. Still hitting those X12’s, huh?! ?

Anyone paying $200 a club is a sucker.
