Wilson launches 2025 Dynapwr drivers
GolfWRX spotted apparent new Wilson Dynapwr drivers back in November. We were intrigued but without any technical information at the time. Now, we have a lot more we can share about Wilson’s 2025 Dynapwr drivers — Dynapwr LS, Dynapwr Carbon, and Dynapwr Max — as the Chicago-based company announced today the drivers are coming to retail.
2025: Wilson Dynapwr drivers: What’s new, key technology
- AI-Driven PKR-360 technology: Wilson optimizes spin and launch conditions through advanced computer modeling.
- Six-way adjustable hosel: Allows golfers to fine-tune their driver settings for personalized performance.
- Interchangeable weights: All three models include swappable weights to adjust launch and spin characteristics.
- Enhanced acoustics: Wilson’s Topology Optimization refines sound quality through thousands of simulations.
Additional model details
Dynapwr LS driver
Designed for the high swing speed player seeking control and workability, the Dynapwr LS is built to eliminate the left side of the course.
- Compact design: A 445cc head offers a deeper, tour-inspired shape.
- Optimized aerodynamics: Features a raised skirt and curved crown for reduced drag and increased clubhead speed.
- Weight customization: Swappable 6g front and 12g back weights allow golfers to adjust spin and forgiveness.
Dynapwr Carbon driver
Built for players looking for a balance between forgiveness and workability, Dynapwr Carbon incorporates insights from Wilson’s tour staff.
- Player-friendly shape: A 460cc head blends forgiveness with a compact profile at address.
- Weight adjustability: Includes 3g front and 9g back weights for tailored launch and spin.
Dynapwr Max driver
Wilson’s “max” driver is engineered for maximum forgiveness and stability, catering to mid and high-handicap golfers.
- Larger footprint: All-titanium design delivers a higher moment of inertia (MOI) for straighter shots.
- Flippable rear weight: The 19g weight allows for left-to-right shot shaping and added forgiveness.
What Wilson says
“We have been on a relentless pursuit to design a driver family that suits the largest range of golfers, and these new models are by far the most advanced drivers Wilson has ever produced,” said Jon Pergande, Director, Global R&D and Product. “We’ve listened to feedback from tour staff, top amateurs, and mid to single handicap golfers and we’re confident that the legendary Dynapwr franchise is entering a new formidable era.”
Pergande added, “For the sound, we tested up to 40 optimized parameters across the face and surrounding geometries, using more than 2,000 face designs per driver model. The result, we believe, is the best-sounding drivers Wilson has ever made.”

Neal Shipley, AKA, the “Big Fridge’s,” custom stamping
Neal Shipley was the first to admit that he enjoyed his food while in college. But since his days at Ohio State, he’s slimmed down and earned a PGA Tour Card.
That hasn’t stopped him from having fun with his wedge stampings, though it’s led to some misunderstandings.
On the 54 (degree), we have ‘Big Fudge,'” Shipley told GolfWRX. “It was supposed to be ‘Big Fridge,’ so this happened a little while ago. ‘Big Fridge’ was a nickname between my college teammates and I, with ‘fridge’ meaning stomach, a big stomach.

“We told the Ping guys to put … ‘Big Fridge’ on it, and I think maybe some bad cell service or something, and they thought I said ‘fudge,’ so they put fudge on it.”
On Shipley’s 50-degree he also continues the food theme, this time with his go-to order at the “Golden Arches,” and his stamping “DONS 7.”
“The number 7 meal, the two cheeseburger meal, that was my McDonald’s order, back when I would have McDonald’s frequently,” Shipley shared.
