Toulon Golf launch latest Small Batch putter – the Scotland
Toulon Golf has officially announced its latest Small Batch putter — the Scotland.
Paying tribute to St. Andrews and launching during the Women’s Open Championship at St. Andrews, Toulon drew inspiration to explore the surroundings of the golf course, and the many small shops that populate the streets nearby.
That inspiration led to the creation of Small Batch Scotland and the thoughts of Toulon having a family business there years ago.

The sole of Small Batch Scotland represents what Toulon’s shop may have looked like had it lined the streets of St. Andrews a century ago, and is finished with a tribute to the brand’s beloved and recently departed shop dog, Jack. With all of this as a backdrop, the brand have created their first Toulon & Sons putter.
The Head

Featuring a classic desing, to modernize Scotland Toulon added a modified H1 hosel to the classic pintail design, lengthened the blade length to a modern 4.5 inches and designed a tailored, elegant squared off shoulder and bumper design.
The cavity design allowed the company to bring the design into modern proportion for both length and width, but it also improves the Scotland’s MOI in design to make it very forgiving.
Upon close inspection of the topline — and most evident while looking at the putter from the face on perspective — you’ll notice the gently raised and curved topline design. This not only pays homage to great pintail designs from the past, but subtly moves the CG to the center of the putter head, improving sound and feel and overall performance.
The Cavity

The back cavity design features a crest designed for the Toulon family. The cross in the center signifies unity in its family and the detail on the top of the badge represents Toulon’s five family members, while the sixth is emblematic of the beloved dogs they’ve had over the years.
The face mill pattern is a Fine Double Fly Cut which was chosen for its artistic flair — and with the addition of the Big Tuna over mill, it is designed to create just the right amount of audio feedback.
The Rest
A celebration of the Home of Golf and the contributions of family businesses to golf equipment required a special headcover. The Toulon family has had a close personal relationship with another family-owned business — Seamus Golf — dating back nearly a decade. To finish Small Batch Scotland, Toulon collaborated with Seamus to create a wool Toulon & Sons headcover featuring an iconic Scottish tartan pattern.

Neal Shipley, AKA, the “Big Fridge’s,” custom stamping
Neal Shipley was the first to admit that he enjoyed his food while in college. But since his days at Ohio State, he’s slimmed down and earned a PGA Tour Card.
That hasn’t stopped him from having fun with his wedge stampings, though it’s led to some misunderstandings.
On the 54 (degree), we have ‘Big Fudge,'” Shipley told GolfWRX. “It was supposed to be ‘Big Fridge,’ so this happened a little while ago. ‘Big Fridge’ was a nickname between my college teammates and I, with ‘fridge’ meaning stomach, a big stomach.

“We told the Ping guys to put … ‘Big Fridge’ on it, and I think maybe some bad cell service or something, and they thought I said ‘fudge,’ so they put fudge on it.”
On Shipley’s 50-degree he also continues the food theme, this time with his go-to order at the “Golden Arches,” and his stamping “DONS 7.”
“The number 7 meal, the two cheeseburger meal, that was my McDonald’s order, back when I would have McDonald’s frequently,” Shipley shared.
