Cleveland extends Huntington Beach putter line with 3 new models
Apparently golfers want more options in a line of putters made from 304 stainless steel that sell for only $99. Who would have thought?
Cleveland originally released its Huntington Beach putters — the name is inspired by the beach town where the company calls its headquarters — which were available in three models. The original release consisted of two blade models (No. 1 and No. 4) and one mallet (No. 6). They were made from 304 stainless steel, which the company says is 51 percent softer than 17-4 stainless steel and had precision-milled, diamond-cut faces that added friction at impact for a consistent roll.

Now, Cleveland is introducing three new head designs into the Huntington Beach collection; one blade model (No. 3) and two mallets — a No. 6C that’s center-shafted and a No. 10.
Like the original release, the new models will come stock with a midsize, blue Lamkin putter grip, and oversized WinnPro X grips are also available for a $10 upcharge. Each putter will be available in 33, 34 and 35-inch lengths, and the putters will be in stores on April 14.

Neal Shipley, AKA, the “Big Fridge’s,” custom stamping
Neal Shipley was the first to admit that he enjoyed his food while in college. But since his days at Ohio State, he’s slimmed down and earned a PGA Tour Card.
That hasn’t stopped him from having fun with his wedge stampings, though it’s led to some misunderstandings.
On the 54 (degree), we have ‘Big Fudge,'” Shipley told GolfWRX. “It was supposed to be ‘Big Fridge,’ so this happened a little while ago. ‘Big Fridge’ was a nickname between my college teammates and I, with ‘fridge’ meaning stomach, a big stomach.

“We told the Ping guys to put … ‘Big Fridge’ on it, and I think maybe some bad cell service or something, and they thought I said ‘fudge,’ so they put fudge on it.”
On Shipley’s 50-degree he also continues the food theme, this time with his go-to order at the “Golden Arches,” and his stamping “DONS 7.”
“The number 7 meal, the two cheeseburger meal, that was my McDonald’s order, back when I would have McDonald’s frequently,” Shipley shared.

Playing the #4 and it knocked the Karsten TR PAL out of my bag. Did not think that was going to happen. One of the best values in golf!

Way too good of a price point to not at least give them a try. Ordered up a #10.

Seems like just another reboot of the good old Cleveland Classics which is not a bad thing.
