Odyssey announces Damascus Milled Seven DB putters are coming to retail
We’ve seen them on tour and now they’re coming to retail.
Odyssey is moving deeper into the ultra-premium category with its limited-edition Damascus Milled Seven DB putter, blending high-end materials, precision milling, and modern design tech, according to a press release.

Ultra-premium, limited release: The Damascus Milled Seven DB sits at the top of Odyssey’s lineup, aimed at golfers who prioritize precision milling and premium feel.
Damascus Steel insert stands out: The headline feature is a forged, layered Damascus steel insert. Each has a unique pattern and is engineered with AI-designed back contours to maintain consistent ball speed across the face, blending traditional craftsmanship with modern tech.
Classic shape, modern fit: The Seven DB head is one of Odyssey’s most recognizable shapes. This double-bend version is face-balanced with ¾ shaft offset, making it best suited for players with a minimal putting arc.
Fully milled construction: The head is milled entirely from stainless steel, emphasizing tight tolerances, clean shaping, and a more refined look and feel than cast alternatives.
Clean, premium aesthetics: A blasted silver finish gives the putter a muted, high-end appearance that pairs with the distinctive Damascus insert.
Tour-informed grip and shaft setup: It features a Rubber Tour Pistol grip developed with Golf Pride, along with the SL90 shaft, which includes a 20g counterbalance weight to promote smoother tempo and added stability.

Neal Shipley was the first to admit that he enjoyed his food while in college. But since his days at Ohio State, he’s slimmed down and earned a PGA Tour Card.
That hasn’t stopped him from having fun with his wedge stampings, though it’s led to some misunderstandings.
On the 54 (degree), we have ‘Big Fudge,'” Shipley told GolfWRX. “It was supposed to be ‘Big Fridge,’ so this happened a little while ago. ‘Big Fridge’ was a nickname between my college teammates and I, with ‘fridge’ meaning stomach, a big stomach.
“We told the Ping guys to put … ‘Big Fridge’ on it, and I think maybe some bad cell service or something, and they thought I said ‘fudge,’ so they put fudge on it.”
On Shipley’s 50-degree he also continues the food theme, this time with his go-to order at the “Golden Arches,” and his stamping “DONS 7.”
“The number 7 meal, the two cheeseburger meal, that was my McDonald’s order, back when I would have McDonald’s frequently,” Shipley shared.
