Callaway announces 2026 Chrome Tour Triple Diamond golf balls
Callaway is expanding its premium golf ball lineup with a targeted option for faster swingers, unveiling the Chrome Tour Triple Diamond alongside its new Chrome Tour family.
Available at retail beginning today, the Chrome Tour Triple Diamond is designed for players seeking a penetrating ball flight, slightly firmer feel, and reduced spin on full shots—characteristics typically favored by high-speed players. It joins the broader Chrome Tour, Chrome Tour X, and Chrome Soft offerings, each engineered with a focus on speed, consistency, and control from tee to green.
At the core of the Triple Diamond is Callaway’s new Tour Fast Mantle, a high-flex modulus layer that works within an optimized core and layer system to promote faster ball speeds without increasing spin. The company pairs this with its Seamless Tour Aero design, aimed at delivering more consistent flight characteristics, and a high-performance Tour urethane cover for enhanced feel and greenside control.
According to Callaway, early iterations of the Triple Diamond concept saw strong adoption among players generating faster ball speeds, prompting its integration into the 2026 Chrome Tour lineup. The addition of the Tour Fast Mantle technology is expected to further boost speed while maintaining the lower-spin profile that defines the model, Callaway says.
The Chrome Tour Triple Diamond positions itself as a niche but increasingly relevant offering in the premium ball category, catering to players who prioritize distance and trajectory control without sacrificing short-game performance.
Neal Shipley was the first to admit that he enjoyed his food while in college. But since his days at Ohio State, he’s slimmed down and earned a PGA Tour Card.

“We told the Ping guys to put … ‘Big Fridge’ on it, and I think maybe some bad cell service or something, and they thought I said ‘fudge,’ so they put fudge on it.”
On Shipley’s 50-degree he also continues the food theme, this time with his go-to order at the “Golden Arches,” and his stamping “DONS 7.”
“The number 7 meal, the two cheeseburger meal, that was my McDonald’s order, back when I would have McDonald’s frequently,” Shipley shared.
