BK’s 2026 Masters gear roundup

Published

on

Every year, we see so many brands bust out the creative big guns for the Masters. Designs are honed, and details sweated over for months to pay tribute to the most anticipated tournament of the year. This year is no different, as we have themes around the amazing Augusta grounds crew, tons of floral details, peaches, and of course, the famous pimento cheese sandwich! Now this list isn’t even close to everything out there as brands large and small celebrate the springtime major, and I know I have missed a few!

What is your favorite item that you would add to your golf collection?

TaylorMade

TaylorMade went with the “unsung heroes” theme to pay its respect to the men and women who keep the Augusta National Golf Club turf in perfect condition!

Scotty Cameron

Something a little simpler and classic from Scotty this year. The perforated leather adds some depth, and I love the white, pink, and yellow accent colors.

Ghost Golf

Ghost’s Patrons Edition bags and head covers highlight the 90th edition of this amazing tournament. The gold hardware is just one of the fine details in these great designs.

Cobra

We are only getting a head cover from Cobra this year, but they didn’t hold back. The combination of a woven look and tan canvas goes great with the “Nothing Like A Sunday In April” slogan.

Srixon

If you have seen the iconic umbrellas outside the Augusta National clubhouse, then these bags might look familiar to you. The green-and-white stripes catch your eye, but inside the pockets hide some cool retro badges!

Callaway

A clean floral design looks great and pays tribute to the land’s history as Fruitland Nursery. Azalea flowers now dot the backdrop of so many tee boxes and greens.

UST Mamiya

The combination of ion-plated green and small details in the white label makes this a very coveted piece! I have heard there are not too many of these out there, so it might be tough to get your hands on one.

Fujikura

You either love or hate the famous pimento cheese sandwich! The folks at Fujikura must be fans, as they have painted Ventus Blue and Black in a matte green and added a bunch of the $1.50 sandwiches all over the shaft!

Mitsubishi

I haven’t seen this shaft in person, but I have heard the green ion-plated color blends a bright green with the OG Diamana finish. Traditional azalea flowers replace the usual Hawaiian petals that cover the Diamana shafts and some Amen Corner hands.

SuperStroke

Peaches are the fruit of Georgia, and SuperStroke added them to some azalea flowers to both their Tour and Pistol grips.

Neal Shipley, AKA, the “Big Fridge’s,” custom stamping

Published

on

Neal Shipley was the first to admit that he enjoyed his food while in college. But since his days at Ohio State, he’s slimmed down and earned a PGA Tour Card.

That hasn’t stopped him from having fun with his wedge stampings, though it’s led to some misunderstandings.

On the 54 (degree), we have ‘Big Fudge,'” Shipley told GolfWRX. “It was supposed to be ‘Big Fridge,’ so this happened a little while ago. ‘Big Fridge’ was a nickname between my college teammates and I, with ‘fridge’ meaning stomach, a big stomach.

“We told the Ping guys to put … ‘Big Fridge’ on it, and I think maybe some bad cell service or something, and they thought I said ‘fudge,’ so they put fudge on it.”

On Shipley’s 50-degree he also continues the food theme, this time with his go-to order at the “Golden Arches,” and his stamping “DONS 7.”

“The number 7 meal, the two cheeseburger meal, that was my McDonald’s order, back when I would have McDonald’s frequently,” Shipley shared.

Check out Shipley’s full what’s in the bag and the rest of his wedge stampings here on “Inside the Ropes” from Colonial.
