Min Woo Lee made 2 big equipment changes at Pebble Beach – including an unreleased putter
Min Woo Lee enjoyed a great week at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, finishing T2 to jumpstart his 2026 season.
The Australian made two interesting changes to his setup in California, with Lee swapping out his trusty Callaway Elyte Triple Diamond for the brand’s new Quantum TD-TD driver.
Speaking to reporters following his fourth round, Lee said:
“Yeah, new driver. It was a new Quantum so I needed — not needed, but I wanted to get into the new Callaway driver. I’ve heard a lot of great things about it.Did a couple range sessions very quickly but didn’t make the cut just because I drive it pretty good normally with the previous driver. I thought it was a good time after last week at Waste.
Didn’t drive it that well, especially when I was somewhat in contention. Just wanted to feel a little bit more of the club when I was swinging. It was a little bit whippy for me I guess with the swing speed that I have.“
The 27-year-old added that Chris Gotterup’s recent play was one of the primary reasons for him putting the new driver in play, saying:
“A lot of it was playing with Chris Gotterup. He won last week and he just had the ball on a string with low spin with similar speeds, I guess. Yeah, just wanted to try it out and yeah, worked out this week.“
Another interesting change for Lee last week was a new flatstick. Per Lee, the new putter is an unreleased Callaway putter, which our tour photographer understands is a new prototype from the brand called TRTL (short for Turtle).
Lee told media following his final round of 7-under par on Sunday:
“And the putter, it’s a new one. It’s unreleased. I don’t know if Callaway would honestly want me to say anything about it. It is a very good putter, I really liked it.
I feel like even the putts that I didn’t hit perfect, they somewhat got close and that’s what I was trying to strive for. Yeah, it’s a good step. They’re both going to be in the bag for a while.“
Both changes yielded great results for Lee, who ranked 26th for Strokes Gained: Off The Tee and 2nd for Strokes Gained: Putting in California.

Neal Shipley, AKA, the “Big Fridge’s,” custom stamping
Neal Shipley was the first to admit that he enjoyed his food while in college. But since his days at Ohio State, he’s slimmed down and earned a PGA Tour Card.
That hasn’t stopped him from having fun with his wedge stampings, though it’s led to some misunderstandings.
On the 54 (degree), we have ‘Big Fudge,'” Shipley told GolfWRX. “It was supposed to be ‘Big Fridge,’ so this happened a little while ago. ‘Big Fridge’ was a nickname between my college teammates and I, with ‘fridge’ meaning stomach, a big stomach.

“We told the Ping guys to put … ‘Big Fridge’ on it, and I think maybe some bad cell service or something, and they thought I said ‘fudge,’ so they put fudge on it.”
On Shipley’s 50-degree he also continues the food theme, this time with his go-to order at the “Golden Arches,” and his stamping “DONS 7.”
“The number 7 meal, the two cheeseburger meal, that was my McDonald’s order, back when I would have McDonald’s frequently,” Shipley shared.
