Callaway’s new ‘Quantum’ drivers hit USGA conforming list – and GolfWRXers react
In a preview of what could be the company’s 2026 driver lineup, Callaway’s new Quantum drivers have just landed on the USGA conforming list.
The models listed are:
- Quantum Max-D
- Quantum (TD)
- Quantum TD-TD – (LH only)
- Quantum Max (TD)
Per the list, the Quantum Max-D comes in lofts ranging from 9, 10.5, and 12 degrees, the Quantum (TD) in 8, 8.5, two 9s, and 10.5 degree lofts, the Quantum TD-TD – (LH only) in 9 and 10.5 lofts, while the Max (TD) version includes lofts of 8.5, two 9s and 10.5 degrees.
Per usual, Callaway is providing no comment nor tech details at present, but photos from the conforming list are below.

Here’s a few posts from the thread where our members have been reacting to the news, but make sure to check out the entire discussion and have your say at the link below.
- ColdOkieGolf: “Really interested to see what these look like when we get some video shots. Sure that will be soon with some tour bags now.”
- Tiger_Stud: “What’s the deal with two 9 degree heads in the TD and TD Max version?”
- smith925: “Was also wondering this (multiple 9 degree heads), and the 8 & 8.5 in the TD is a bit random, maybe a couple of tour guys had there pick of different stamped lofts so had to go on the list, cant imagine retail will get the same.”

Neal Shipley, AKA, the “Big Fridge’s,” custom stamping
Neal Shipley was the first to admit that he enjoyed his food while in college. But since his days at Ohio State, he’s slimmed down and earned a PGA Tour Card.
That hasn’t stopped him from having fun with his wedge stampings, though it’s led to some misunderstandings.
On the 54 (degree), we have ‘Big Fudge,'” Shipley told GolfWRX. “It was supposed to be ‘Big Fridge,’ so this happened a little while ago. ‘Big Fridge’ was a nickname between my college teammates and I, with ‘fridge’ meaning stomach, a big stomach.

“We told the Ping guys to put … ‘Big Fridge’ on it, and I think maybe some bad cell service or something, and they thought I said ‘fudge,’ so they put fudge on it.”
On Shipley’s 50-degree he also continues the food theme, this time with his go-to order at the “Golden Arches,” and his stamping “DONS 7.”
“The number 7 meal, the two cheeseburger meal, that was my McDonald’s order, back when I would have McDonald’s frequently,” Shipley shared.

Loathe Callaway! “Get the big book of cool names out and let’s find one that males age 18 through 40 will think is cool. We’ve already used Elyte, Rogue, Paradym, EPIC, Mavrik, Fusion, Flash, SubZero. Find a new name and we can decide if it looks cool mis-spelled”

These things are LETHAL. BEST Driver Callaway has ever released. Look, performance, color scheme. Truly knocked it out of the park with this launch. Even non-Callaway players will give them a go.
