Superb stamps at the Scarlet Course (Wedge Stamping Caviar)
Pop open a tin of the finest beluga, GolfWRXers! But really, it’s less jelly-like substance, more richness of intrigue here. No salt-cured roe at Wedge Stamping Caviar, as we present to you some of the finest instances of hammer-and-stamp work spotted among the tour professionals assembled for the Korn Ferry Tour’s Nationwide Children’s Hospital Championship at Ohio State University Golf Club’s Scarlet Course.

Always, always good stuff on the Korn Ferry Tour! We love to see what the young guns and grizzled vets have going on in the bag (Spencer Levin!), and of course, the intrigue extends to their wedge stamping.
So, grab your mother-of-pearl spoon and dig in — with restraint, please — and let’s take a look at some of the caviar from this week’s KFT event in Ohio.
Starting off with something simple: Davis Chatfield’s “DC” stamping looks nicely balanced alongside the Hi-Toe on the, well, high toe of his TaylorMade Hi-Toe wedge.

Very nice stuff here for Cody Blick. The diamonds between the letters really add a bit of spice!

While “The Traditional” is the most commonplace of stampings, a ported wedge is not, hence Derek Bard’s SM9 is on this week’s menu.

Speaking of “The Traditional,” we’ll have to come up with a name for the use of three initials, significantly less common as it is, and employed by Rayhan Thomas here.

The Traditional with a slab o’ lead? Sign us up, Cole Sherwood!

We’ve seen the maple leaf stamp employed for Canadians before (Adam Hadwin comes to mind). Nicely used on Myles Creighton’s SM10.

Rhein Gibson generally has top-notch wedge stampings. Checking in with him this week did not disappoint!

A second Rhein Gibson entry is in order for this incredible 64-degree Vokey.

Neal Shipley, AKA, the “Big Fridge’s,” custom stamping
Neal Shipley was the first to admit that he enjoyed his food while in college. But since his days at Ohio State, he’s slimmed down and earned a PGA Tour Card.
That hasn’t stopped him from having fun with his wedge stampings, though it’s led to some misunderstandings.
On the 54 (degree), we have ‘Big Fudge,'” Shipley told GolfWRX. “It was supposed to be ‘Big Fridge,’ so this happened a little while ago. ‘Big Fridge’ was a nickname between my college teammates and I, with ‘fridge’ meaning stomach, a big stomach.

“We told the Ping guys to put … ‘Big Fridge’ on it, and I think maybe some bad cell service or something, and they thought I said ‘fudge,’ so they put fudge on it.”
On Shipley’s 50-degree he also continues the food theme, this time with his go-to order at the “Golden Arches,” and his stamping “DONS 7.”
“The number 7 meal, the two cheeseburger meal, that was my McDonald’s order, back when I would have McDonald’s frequently,” Shipley shared.
