2nd Swing announces 2025 Fitter’s Choice drivers
Leveraging an incredible amount of quantitative and qualitative data from thousands of fittings at our seven locations, 2nd Swing Golf proudly presents its list of the top drivers of 2025: Fitter’s Choice. Below, learn more about the top two models in each 2025 Fitter’s Choice category. Through countless swings and extensive data analysis, the following big sticks have more than proven their mettle in the 2nd Swing fitting bays.
Best Core/Max Drivers
Designed for the broadest spectrum of golfers seeking a blend of forgiveness and distance, two drivers stood out in the Core/Max category for 2nd Swing fitters: the Titleist GT2 and the Ping G440 Max.
The Titleist GT2 continues a run of Titleist drivers that have delivered high ball speeds without sacrificing stability. Our fitters consistently saw players achieve impressive carry distances and solid dispersion results with the GT2. It’s a true workhorse, offering a fantastic balance for golfers who prioritize playability and reliable performance.

Likewise, the Ping G440 Max also packs a serious punch from a distance and MOI perspective. 2nd Swing fitters raved about its ability to keep errant shots in play, helping golfers minimize dispersion and find more fairways than their previous gamer. If you’re looking for a driver to fill you with confidence on every tee box, even when your swing isn’t dialed, the G440 Max is a fantastic option.
Best Low-Spin Drivers
For those with higher swing speeds looking to optimize launch conditions and maximize distance by reducing spin, 2nd Swing fitters recommend the Ping G440 LST and the Callaway Elyte Triple Diamond.
The Ping G440 LST continues Ping’s strong showing in the 2025 edition of Fitter’s Choice, offering a tour-proven low-spin option that still provides a surprising amount of forgiveness for its profile. Our fitters found that skilled players could really dial in their launch and spin numbers with the G440 LST.

The Callaway Elyte Triple Diamond proved to be another formidable player in the low-spin arena this year. This driver consistently delivered blistering ball speeds and a penetrating flight, making it a favorite among our fitters for golfers who generate plenty of clubhead speed seeking to turn every ounce of that speed into distance.

Best Max/Draw-Biased Drivers
Finally, for golfers seeking a forgiving, draw-biased option, 2nd Swing fitters circled the Ping G440 SFT and the Cobra DS-Adapt Max-K.
With the Ping G440 SFT, 2nd Swing fitters have witnessed countless golfers turn their slices into gentler fades or even draws. Its strategic weighting and design promote a closed clubface at impact, helping golfers find the center of the fairway more often.
The Cobra DS-Adapt Max-K is a newer contender that made a significant impression on our fitters. As its name suggests, the driver boasts a highly adaptable design, and its forgiving nature has eliminated many big misses in fitting bays in 2025.

The selections above aren’t just arbitrary picks; they’re the result of thousands of fittings, hours of data analysis, and the seasoned judgment of master club fitters. To sweeten things further, every single driver on the 2nd Swing 2025 Fitter’s Choice list is in stock and ready to ship within two days. Don’t wait or wonder. The right driver, chosen by experts, is ready to be delivered straight to your door and transform your game.

Neal Shipley, AKA, the “Big Fridge’s,” custom stamping
Neal Shipley was the first to admit that he enjoyed his food while in college. But since his days at Ohio State, he’s slimmed down and earned a PGA Tour Card.
That hasn’t stopped him from having fun with his wedge stampings, though it’s led to some misunderstandings.
On the 54 (degree), we have ‘Big Fudge,'” Shipley told GolfWRX. “It was supposed to be ‘Big Fridge,’ so this happened a little while ago. ‘Big Fridge’ was a nickname between my college teammates and I, with ‘fridge’ meaning stomach, a big stomach.

“We told the Ping guys to put … ‘Big Fridge’ on it, and I think maybe some bad cell service or something, and they thought I said ‘fudge,’ so they put fudge on it.”
On Shipley’s 50-degree he also continues the food theme, this time with his go-to order at the “Golden Arches,” and his stamping “DONS 7.”
“The number 7 meal, the two cheeseburger meal, that was my McDonald’s order, back when I would have McDonald’s frequently,” Shipley shared.

Nah, Ping drivers are like a girl that looks a little different but has a great personality. Turns out she is beautiful—just like a driver that hits fairways.
