Spotted: Limited-edition bags and accessories from the 2025 U.S. Open
With the third major of the year upon us, it’s time to take a look at some limited-edition U.S. Open gear! With the city of Pittsburgh, the United States of America (it is our national open, after all), and famed Oakmont providing inspiration, the designers had plenty to work with.
Let’s get to the gear.
Scotty Cameron
Every major has its own cover from Scotty, and this year we get a very cool eagle that looks like it flew right off the Great Seal of the United States. At first, I thought the cover was a little basic with its red base and eagle, but there is a lot of detail in that embroidery of the majestic bird.

TaylorMade
A combination of stars, stripes, and retro logos is on deck for TaylorMade players at the U.S. Open this year. A bright silver bag should be easy to spot out on the course, and I love the retro logos that cover it. Not only do we see the old school TaylorMade logo, but we can see the logos from “Pittsburg Persimmon” and “Original One” on the straps and pockets. Breaking up the silver is a lot of red stripes and stars over navy blue!

Bettinardi
These covers have a little more of a modern interpretation of patriotism to them, in my opinion. A white base features red and blue angles all over. White stars are then intertwined in the design, and they are finished off with Bettinardi’s Hex T logo that is used on most of its products out on tour.

L.A.B. Golf
The L.A.B. Rat is back, but this time he brought a friend with him! A squirrel seems to be holding a golf ball, like he usually does in Oakmont championship logos, and helping the Rat with his Aim Point green reading. Of course, L.A.B. added some church pews to the cover as they are one of the most famous parts of the golf course.

Callaway + Odyssey
So many little details that pay tribute to Oakmont Country Club in Callaway’s design. The headcovers feature the green clubhouse with its steep roof and vertical wood panels. You can easily pick out the church pews on the side of the dark green and brown staff bag, as well as on the Odyssey putter covers. They even went with Oakmont’s mission statement on the bottom of the front pocket.

Cobra
Cobra’s U.S. Open offerings are centered around the Steel City, including what looks to be the Roberto Clemente bridge on the bag and riveting around the exterior of the headcover. Very cool!

Neal Shipley, AKA, the “Big Fridge’s,” custom stamping
Neal Shipley was the first to admit that he enjoyed his food while in college. But since his days at Ohio State, he’s slimmed down and earned a PGA Tour Card.
That hasn’t stopped him from having fun with his wedge stampings, though it’s led to some misunderstandings.
On the 54 (degree), we have ‘Big Fudge,'” Shipley told GolfWRX. “It was supposed to be ‘Big Fridge,’ so this happened a little while ago. ‘Big Fridge’ was a nickname between my college teammates and I, with ‘fridge’ meaning stomach, a big stomach.

“We told the Ping guys to put … ‘Big Fridge’ on it, and I think maybe some bad cell service or something, and they thought I said ‘fudge,’ so they put fudge on it.”
On Shipley’s 50-degree he also continues the food theme, this time with his go-to order at the “Golden Arches,” and his stamping “DONS 7.”
“The number 7 meal, the two cheeseburger meal, that was my McDonald’s order, back when I would have McDonald’s frequently,” Shipley shared.
