Full Swing adds a new combine with Clippd Shot Quality scores
Full Swing’s KIT launch monitor is considered one of the best launch monitors for golfers to use in order to improve their game. Now, Clippd Golf and Full Swing have joined forces to integrate Clippd’s AI-derived Shot Quality scores into the new Full Swing Combine software.

The whole goal in Full Swing adding the Clippd Shot Quality scores is to give golfers more purpose while practicing. Golfers will get a score between zero and 200 on single shots and on their Combine performance. The more the golfer practices and strives for higher scores, the more they can improve. The Shot Quality score is based on strokes gained but adds in additional factors that relate to launch characteristics. Once the golfer gets their Combine scores, they can then see where their game needs additional work to improve the most.
“Adding Shot Quality to the 16 points of club and ball data already collected by KIT will give users even greater insights into the strengths and weaknesses of their games,” said Jason Fierro, Chief Operating Officer for Full Swing. “It’s a powerful and easy-to-understand metric that will not only identify specific distances and shot types that challenge them more than others, but also provide a simple way to compare their performance against players of different abilities.”

The Full Swing Combine and Clippd Shot Quality scores are only available to Full Swing premium app subscribers. The Full Swing premium app costs $199 per year and adds plenty of additional features like unlimited swing video storage, 3D driving range, and much more.

Neal Shipley, AKA, the “Big Fridge’s,” custom stamping
Neal Shipley was the first to admit that he enjoyed his food while in college. But since his days at Ohio State, he’s slimmed down and earned a PGA Tour Card.
That hasn’t stopped him from having fun with his wedge stampings, though it’s led to some misunderstandings.
On the 54 (degree), we have ‘Big Fudge,'” Shipley told GolfWRX. “It was supposed to be ‘Big Fridge,’ so this happened a little while ago. ‘Big Fridge’ was a nickname between my college teammates and I, with ‘fridge’ meaning stomach, a big stomach.

“We told the Ping guys to put … ‘Big Fridge’ on it, and I think maybe some bad cell service or something, and they thought I said ‘fudge,’ so they put fudge on it.”
On Shipley’s 50-degree he also continues the food theme, this time with his go-to order at the “Golden Arches,” and his stamping “DONS 7.”
“The number 7 meal, the two cheeseburger meal, that was my McDonald’s order, back when I would have McDonald’s frequently,” Shipley shared.
