Cleveland Golf adds two HB Soft 2 putters to lineup
Today, Cleveland Golf has announced the expansion of its HB Soft 2 putter line with the introduction of two new models: the HB Soft 2 CB and the HB Soft 2 Broom. According to the company, new additions are designed to provide smoother, more controllable strokes for golfers looking to enhance their performance on the greens. Cleveland Golf’s Speed Optimized Face Technology (SOFT) is featured in both models. This dynamic groove milling pattern is designed to normalize ball speed across the striking area, ensuring predictable distance control regardless of where the ball is struck.
In a press release, Casey Shultz, Senior Product Manager at Cleveland Golf, emphasized the company’s commitment to innovation:
“Seeing how successful these putter models have been on tour and the interest they’ve had among everyday golfers, it was a no-brainer for us to create our own models. Golfers tend to be tinkerers and are always looking for any edge to get better, especially on the greens.”
HB Soft 2 CB

Cleveland Golf is also introducing the HB SOFT 2 Retrieve, a brand-new head shape that allows golfers to pick up the ball from the hole or any surface without bending over.

Neal Shipley was the first to admit that he enjoyed his food while in college. But since his days at Ohio State, he’s slimmed down and earned a PGA Tour Card.
That hasn’t stopped him from having fun with his wedge stampings, though it’s led to some misunderstandings.
On the 54 (degree), we have ‘Big Fudge,'” Shipley told GolfWRX. “It was supposed to be ‘Big Fridge,’ so this happened a little while ago. ‘Big Fridge’ was a nickname between my college teammates and I, with ‘fridge’ meaning stomach, a big stomach.
“We told the Ping guys to put … ‘Big Fridge’ on it, and I think maybe some bad cell service or something, and they thought I said ‘fudge,’ so they put fudge on it.”
On Shipley’s 50-degree he also continues the food theme, this time with his go-to order at the “Golden Arches,” and his stamping “DONS 7.”
“The number 7 meal, the two cheeseburger meal, that was my McDonald’s order, back when I would have McDonald’s frequently,” Shipley shared.

I have 35 inch #11 that I got last year and it has worked well.
As a tinkerer, the 11 CB has me intrigued.
