Ping adds 6 new models to putter lineup
Ping is adding six models to the 10 released at the end of 2022, bringing the tally of its current offerings to 16 putters.
Today the Arizona-based company announced new Anser 2, Anser D, B60, Tyne H, Fetch, and Ketsch G models are available for pre-order.
“The Ping putter line combines modern design advancements with the proven technologies that helped Ping set the standard in putter design 65 years ago,” Ping CEO and President, John K. Solheim, said.
“In this line, our engineers took a more individual approach with our most popular models, applying variations of our score-lowering innovations like perimeter weighting and optimized center of gravity placement while further differentiating them through face technology and alignment features.”
Milled faces, soft inserts. Mallets, mid-mallets, blades. Multiple alignment aids and finishes. Across the now-16-putter-wide lineup, Ping sought to offer something for every golfer.

Fetch fans laud the more compact profile as easy to aim. Ball-width alignment lines and a new glare-diffusing raw blast finish aid in the process.”

Neal Shipley, AKA, the “Big Fridge’s,” custom stamping
Neal Shipley was the first to admit that he enjoyed his food while in college. But since his days at Ohio State, he’s slimmed down and earned a PGA Tour Card.
That hasn’t stopped him from having fun with his wedge stampings, though it’s led to some misunderstandings.
On the 54 (degree), we have ‘Big Fudge,'” Shipley told GolfWRX. “It was supposed to be ‘Big Fridge,’ so this happened a little while ago. ‘Big Fridge’ was a nickname between my college teammates and I, with ‘fridge’ meaning stomach, a big stomach.

“We told the Ping guys to put … ‘Big Fridge’ on it, and I think maybe some bad cell service or something, and they thought I said ‘fudge,’ so they put fudge on it.”
On Shipley’s 50-degree he also continues the food theme, this time with his go-to order at the “Golden Arches,” and his stamping “DONS 7.”
“The number 7 meal, the two cheeseburger meal, that was my McDonald’s order, back when I would have McDonald’s frequently,” Shipley shared.
