With the new Trackman iO, the Danish optically enhanced radar tracking (OERT) technology pioneers bring the capabilities of the Trackman 4 to an indoor-optimized, ceiling-mounted, more affordable model.

Trackman is keen to emphasize that Trackman iO sits alongside of Trackman 4 in the company’s product lineup.

“We didn’t develop Trackman iO to replace the Trackman 4,” said Fredrik Tuxen, Trackman inventor and CTO. “We developed Trackman iO to be the best possible product for indoor golf. To create the most enjoyable and hassle-free indoor golf experience. To precisely replicate the results you would get outside — all in a compact, elegant device. Without needing extra lighting, radar and high-speed infrared imaging are combined in Trackman iO to capture the full range of ball data and select club data. Unlike Trackman 4, which is positioned at ground level, Trackman iO is positioned above the hitting area.

The result of this is there a no minimum space requirements in front of or behind the ball — no small matter given the recommended room dimensions of 15x10x18 for Trackman 4. All a golfer needs to be able to do is swing the golf club in order to have enough room to utilize Trackman iO.
