About the enclosure
The SkyTrak Play Now Golf Simulator Studio enclosures is made from powder-coated one-inch rolled steel and uses a clip system. It’s strong. It’s sturdy. It’s easy to handle.
Speaking of handling, the SkyTrak enclosure’s four-layer screen can handle all your firepower. Balls bounce back no more than foot at up to 130 mph in clubhead speed. The screen features a single-piece design, meaning side and ceiling walls are all one piece. It’s as quiet as it is durable, but should you need to buy a new screen, it’s removable by velcro, so you don’t have to purchase an entirely new enclosure just to replace the screen.
Also, the enclosure features waterproof PVC-based nylon black material for maximum utility and durability.
One person (without a ladder!) can assemble the SkyTrak Play Now Golf Simulator Studio. Additionally, there’s no drilling needed as the projector mount affixes directly to the enclosure — no damage to ceilings, floors, or walls.
A refresher on the SkyTrak+

Complementing SkyTrak’s existing camera-derived ball flight data, SkyTrak+ features a new dual doppler radar with an integrated machine learning algorithm to give users a wealth of club data for the first time at this price point. And it does so without any stickers or special balls.
Sky Trak+’s club data includes:
- Club head speed
- Smash factor
- Club path
- Face angle
And it does all this at a price point under $3,000.
SkyTrak+’s new improved photometric camera system delivers improved ball tracking. And unlike exclusively radar-based units, there are no space limitations/distances from the unit for indoor use. Additionally, the camera system functions well on mats allowing users to practice outdoors, according to SkyTrak.
As you can see below, the SkyTrak+ interface displays carry, total distance, face-to-target, and club path data overlaying the driving range — additionally, previous shots are displayed with a heat map rather than plotted inside an ellipse. Launch angle, spin, and descent angle are displayed alongside suggested optimal ranges based on club head data, along will all the other metrics you’d expect to see in a top-tier launch monitor.

Neal Shipley, AKA, the “Big Fridge’s,” custom stamping
Neal Shipley was the first to admit that he enjoyed his food while in college. But since his days at Ohio State, he’s slimmed down and earned a PGA Tour Card.
That hasn’t stopped him from having fun with his wedge stampings, though it’s led to some misunderstandings.
On the 54 (degree), we have ‘Big Fudge,'” Shipley told GolfWRX. “It was supposed to be ‘Big Fridge,’ so this happened a little while ago. ‘Big Fridge’ was a nickname between my college teammates and I, with ‘fridge’ meaning stomach, a big stomach.

“We told the Ping guys to put … ‘Big Fridge’ on it, and I think maybe some bad cell service or something, and they thought I said ‘fudge,’ so they put fudge on it.”
On Shipley’s 50-degree he also continues the food theme, this time with his go-to order at the “Golden Arches,” and his stamping “DONS 7.”
“The number 7 meal, the two cheeseburger meal, that was my McDonald’s order, back when I would have McDonald’s frequently,” Shipley shared.

Very compelling price, as long as it will become compatible with GSPro. Most sim in a box come with a PC. I didn’t see that mentioned. If not, the GC3 setup may be better.
