TaylorMade launches new Masters-themed ‘Season Opener’ collection
There cannot be a golf player on Earth that doesn’t know it’s Masters week, and TaylorMade has just made it that bit more special.
The golf equipment manufacturer has just released their most comprehensive set of Masters themed products yet, sure to catch the eye on the range or course.
With the new range – dubbed ‘Season Opener’ – TaylorMade brings a mix of Masters green and the most notable of Augusta bloom to the fore via the Season Opener golf bag, head-covers and TP5 pix golf ball.
Available at $599.99, the latest in the line of golf bags sees a stylish Masters green bag emblazoned with the manufacturer’s name, and set off with the infamous logo ‘T’ – made with the image of the famous Augusta azaleas.
Whilst TaylorMade brand ambassadors will have the green strap, last year’s defending champion Scheffler will find his bag adorned with a gold strap and an embroidered number ’22’ – the start of a tradition of recognizing ambassadors that win the Green Jacket.
Around the base of them all are the words and numbers ’55/86′, signifying the 55 champions that have used TaylorMade across all the 86 Masters Invitationals.
The Season Opener golf bag is complimented by a range of driver and fairway wood head covers, as well as putter covers for both Spider and blade, all using the recognisable Masters colours and available from $49.99.
Finish the range with the ultimate golf ball, and TaylorMade has produced another cracker in the shape of the TP5 pix ball, used by Tommy Fleetwood and where design meets performance.
Available in a stylish box of 12 for $59.99, the Season Opener Major Series again has the distinct ‘T’ as well as a scattering of azaleas all around.

Neal Shipley was the first to admit that he enjoyed his food while in college. But since his days at Ohio State, he’s slimmed down and earned a PGA Tour Card.
That hasn’t stopped him from having fun with his wedge stampings, though it’s led to some misunderstandings.
On the 54 (degree), we have ‘Big Fudge,'” Shipley told GolfWRX. “It was supposed to be ‘Big Fridge,’ so this happened a little while ago. ‘Big Fridge’ was a nickname between my college teammates and I, with ‘fridge’ meaning stomach, a big stomach.
“We told the Ping guys to put … ‘Big Fridge’ on it, and I think maybe some bad cell service or something, and they thought I said ‘fudge,’ so they put fudge on it.”
On Shipley’s 50-degree he also continues the food theme, this time with his go-to order at the “Golden Arches,” and his stamping “DONS 7.”
“The number 7 meal, the two cheeseburger meal, that was my McDonald’s order, back when I would have McDonald’s frequently,” Shipley shared.
