Stealth Plus vs TSi3 – GolfWRXers discuss
In our forums, our members have been discussing two powerhouse drivers. WRXer ‘Swo83’ is intrigued by the new addition from TaylorMade despite playing a Titleist driver for some time, kicking off the thread saying:
“I’ve been a Titleist user for as long as I can remember, but I’ve always been intrigued by TM. I love the head shape and look at address of the new Stealth+ line of woods. Has anyone had their TSi3 replaced by this line? Or too gimmicky? I’m intrigued for some reason with this one.”
And our members have been sharing their thoughts in our forum, with lots of love for both drivers.
Here are a few posts from the thread, but make sure to check out the entire discussion and have your say at the link below.
- jayhawkeye: “I have both. Love them both. Stealth+ hasn’t been outside yet, so still could be on the honeymoon. Seems like it is definitely “hotter” on misses. Which should be what we are paying for at this point. Stealth seems surprisingly forgiving too. Totally subjective at this point, but that is my gut. Need to have them go head to head on my simulator. Stealth almost seems like TSi3 and TSi2 had a baby with a red face.”
- MPAdnreassi: “For me, Stealth Plus is quite a bit more forgiving. Twist Face is the real deal. Played a TSi3 driver all year last season, made the jump to Stealth Plus over the winter and not looking back. I’ve gotten lucky with weather and have had 8 rounds outside already. Real test will be this week with a trip to Palm Beach planned.”
- manima1: “TSi3 has been an absolute monster for me, but the Stealth+ intrigues me the most out of any of the 2022 drivers. Will likely keep the TSi3 the rest of this season and wait until prices drop on a Stealth+ to try out, just can’t justify a change the TSi3 is too good.”
- phizzy30: “I did test the TSi3 last year at the local store, and dare I say it’s Titleist’s best driver to date IMO. I am a self-professed TM fanboy and found the Stealth line is leaps and bounds better than the SIM 2 I had last year, so that went up on BST. With all that being said, I would have no qualms putting a TSi3 in the bag.”

Neal Shipley, AKA, the “Big Fridge’s,” custom stamping
Neal Shipley was the first to admit that he enjoyed his food while in college. But since his days at Ohio State, he’s slimmed down and earned a PGA Tour Card.
That hasn’t stopped him from having fun with his wedge stampings, though it’s led to some misunderstandings.
On the 54 (degree), we have ‘Big Fudge,'” Shipley told GolfWRX. “It was supposed to be ‘Big Fridge,’ so this happened a little while ago. ‘Big Fridge’ was a nickname between my college teammates and I, with ‘fridge’ meaning stomach, a big stomach.

“We told the Ping guys to put … ‘Big Fridge’ on it, and I think maybe some bad cell service or something, and they thought I said ‘fudge,’ so they put fudge on it.”
On Shipley’s 50-degree he also continues the food theme, this time with his go-to order at the “Golden Arches,” and his stamping “DONS 7.”
“The number 7 meal, the two cheeseburger meal, that was my McDonald’s order, back when I would have McDonald’s frequently,” Shipley shared.
