Bubba Watson invests in Linksoul and will serve as brand ambassador
Two-time Masters champion Bubba Watson has invested in Linksoul and will serve as brand ambassador going forward.
Watson will appear in the brand’s advertising, marketing and social media campaigns globally, while also wearing Linksoul apparel on and off the course throughout 2021.
Speaking on the signing, John Ashworth, co-founder Linksoul stated
“Bubba is a great person, who also happens to be one of the best golfers in the world. He symbolizes everything our brand stands for and we’re stoked to partner with him. Bubba’s values align perfectly with our core mission of giving back to the community, while truly living and exploring life outside of golf.”
Watson made his debut as a Linksoul brand ambassador at Torrey Pines last week, and you can see him donning the brand’s apparel again at this week’s Waste Management Phoenix Open.
On his investment and his new position as a Linksoul brand ambassador, Watson said
“I’ve been paying close attention to what John and Linksoul have been doing over the years and I felt like this was the right time to get more involved with the brand. I love that their mission extends beyond golf and represents a lifestyle beyond the course. I’m excited for this new chapter in my life and I’m excited to be a part of the Linksoul team supporting their brand ethos.”

Neal Shipley was the first to admit that he enjoyed his food while in college. But since his days at Ohio State, he’s slimmed down and earned a PGA Tour Card.
That hasn’t stopped him from having fun with his wedge stampings, though it’s led to some misunderstandings.
On the 54 (degree), we have ‘Big Fudge,'” Shipley told GolfWRX. “It was supposed to be ‘Big Fridge,’ so this happened a little while ago. ‘Big Fridge’ was a nickname between my college teammates and I, with ‘fridge’ meaning stomach, a big stomach.
“We told the Ping guys to put … ‘Big Fridge’ on it, and I think maybe some bad cell service or something, and they thought I said ‘fudge,’ so they put fudge on it.”
On Shipley’s 50-degree he also continues the food theme, this time with his go-to order at the “Golden Arches,” and his stamping “DONS 7.”
“The number 7 meal, the two cheeseburger meal, that was my McDonald’s order, back when I would have McDonald’s frequently,” Shipley shared.
