Titleist introduces virtual golf ball fitting consultations
Titleist Golf has announced the introduction of its complimentary virtual golf ball consultations, which will allow golfers to find the optimal ball for their game through a one-on-one video call with an expert Titleist golf ball fitter.
Designed to offer golfers who aren’t able to attend an in-person Titleist Golf Ball Fitting the ability to find the perfect ball for their game, the one-on-one video call ball fitting will be available Monday-Friday through the golf ball fitting page on Titleist.com

The virtual consultations will include everything you would expect from an in-person consultation, including an in-depth assessment of the golfer’s game, and an analysis of their performance objectives and personal preferences.
At the end of the video call, the fitter will provide recommended Titleist golf ball models that the golfer can test on the golf course using Titleist’s golf ball fitting evaluation scorecard.

Speaking on the new virtual golf ball consultations, Michael Rich, Senior Manager, Titleist Golf Ball Fitting and Education said
“A true golf ball fitting can only happen on the golf course where you can see and feel the differences between golf ball models and gain a real understanding for which one will help you shoot your lowest scores.
Whether we’re working with a golfer in person or online, it’s ultimately up to them to take our recommendations to the course and test the golf balls side-by-side on a variety of different shots, especially into and around the green. The golf ball is such a critical part of your game – it’s the only piece of equipment you use on every shot – and we’re doing everything we can to reach more and more golfers every year and help them find the Titleist golf ball that fits them best.”
Titleist’s virtual golf ball consultation sessions are complimentary and scheduled for up to 30 minutes.

Neal Shipley, AKA, the “Big Fridge’s,” custom stamping
Neal Shipley was the first to admit that he enjoyed his food while in college. But since his days at Ohio State, he’s slimmed down and earned a PGA Tour Card.
That hasn’t stopped him from having fun with his wedge stampings, though it’s led to some misunderstandings.
On the 54 (degree), we have ‘Big Fudge,'” Shipley told GolfWRX. “It was supposed to be ‘Big Fridge,’ so this happened a little while ago. ‘Big Fridge’ was a nickname between my college teammates and I, with ‘fridge’ meaning stomach, a big stomach.

“We told the Ping guys to put … ‘Big Fridge’ on it, and I think maybe some bad cell service or something, and they thought I said ‘fudge,’ so they put fudge on it.”
On Shipley’s 50-degree he also continues the food theme, this time with his go-to order at the “Golden Arches,” and his stamping “DONS 7.”
“The number 7 meal, the two cheeseburger meal, that was my McDonald’s order, back when I would have McDonald’s frequently,” Shipley shared.

Going out on a limb and guessing 100% of the time they’re going to fit you into a premium, urethane ball.

They should just sell a fitting pack of 4 different sleeves that we can just play with for a couple of rounds to see which fits best.
