Srixon unveils new Soft Feel and Soft Feel Lady golf balls
Srixon has launched its latest Soft Feel and Soft Feel Lady golf balls featuring the brand’s softest FastLayer core to date – with the soft center gradually transitioning to a firm outer edge.
Per Srixon, the new FastLayer core is more resilient than its predecessors, snapping back into shape more quickly after impact in design for added ball speed, while also reducing long game sidespin for increased accuracy.
Speaking on the new Soft Feel and Soft Feel Lady golf balls, Brian Schielke, Marketing Director at Srixon said
“This is our 12th generation Soft Feel golf ball, putting us at the forefront of the low-compression distance ball category. With this new model, we’re excited to give golfers our longest Soft Feel to date, in a ball that maintains the signature feel golfers expect from a Soft Feel.”
The balls feature a 338-speed dimple pattern in design to reduce drag at launch and increase lift during descent to deliver better overall distance, particularly in windy conditions.
In addition, the Soft Feel and Soft Feel Lady balls contain a soft, thin cover which aims to provide players with added greenside spin on pitch and chip shots.
The Srixon Soft Feel, offered in Soft White and Tour Yellow, and Soft Feel Lady, offered in Soft White and Passion Pink, are now available to buy at Srixon.com at a MAP of $21.99 per dozen.
Neal Shipley was the first to admit that he enjoyed his food while in college. But since his days at Ohio State, he’s slimmed down and earned a PGA Tour Card.
That hasn’t stopped him from having fun with his wedge stampings, though it’s led to some misunderstandings.
On the 54 (degree), we have ‘Big Fudge,'” Shipley told GolfWRX. “It was supposed to be ‘Big Fridge,’ so this happened a little while ago. ‘Big Fridge’ was a nickname between my college teammates and I, with ‘fridge’ meaning stomach, a big stomach.
“We told the Ping guys to put … ‘Big Fridge’ on it, and I think maybe some bad cell service or something, and they thought I said ‘fudge,’ so they put fudge on it.”
On Shipley’s 50-degree he also continues the food theme, this time with his go-to order at the “Golden Arches,” and his stamping “DONS 7.”
“The number 7 meal, the two cheeseburger meal, that was my McDonald’s order, back when I would have McDonald’s frequently,” Shipley shared.
