Big Max unveils two new golf bag designs: The Dri Lite Hybrid and Dri Lite Sport

Published

on

Big Max  has unveiled two new golf bag designs to its 2020 line – the Dri Lite Hybrid and Dri Lite Sport, which both feature a 100% waterproof fabric and specially designed waterproof zippers.

The Dri Lite Hybrid

The Dri Lite Hybrid is a water-resistant stand bag featuring a trolley compatible footless flat base and leg lock system. Per the company, the Hybrid sits square and secure on a cart or push cart while a cut out section in the base is designed to add further stability.

At the top of the bag, the leg mechanism is located lower down the bag, which bids to allow the reinforced bag connection area to make contact with the cart rather than the legs. This design aims to eliminate twisting and provide a snug fit on the upper bag brackets.

Weighing 4.4 lbs, the Hybrid bag also transforms into a lightweight stand bag, with the footless stand mechanism working like any other stand bag. The air channel straps on the bag are designed to allow for breathability and comfort.

The bag contains seven waterproof pockets, 14-way full-length dividers and comes in five different color schemes. (Black, Charcoal/Black/Red, Silver/Black/Red, White/Black/Orange, White/Navy/Red.)

The Dri Lite Hybrid is available to purchase here and costs $229.99.

The Dri Lite Sport

The Dri Lite Sport is a colorful, ultra-light cart bag featuring Big Max’s water-resistant Dri Lite technology.

The bag features a 14 way, 9.5” organizer top with an oversize putter well as well as nine waterproof pockets, including an oversize cooler pocket.

The new addition also provides an easy access velcro glove holder, towel holder, umbrella holder and robust carry handles. The Dri Lite Sport weighs 4.85 lbs and arrives in three different color codes (Black, Grey/Black, Navy/Silver/Red.)

The Dri Lite Sport is available to purchase here and costs $249.99.

14-way dividers? Do they include iron covers and a belt-clip towel, too?

Neal Shipley, AKA, the “Big Fridge’s,” custom stamping

Published

on

Neal Shipley was the first to admit that he enjoyed his food while in college. But since his days at Ohio State, he’s slimmed down and earned a PGA Tour Card.

That hasn’t stopped him from having fun with his wedge stampings, though it’s led to some misunderstandings.

On the 54 (degree), we have ‘Big Fudge,'” Shipley told GolfWRX. “It was supposed to be ‘Big Fridge,’ so this happened a little while ago. ‘Big Fridge’ was a nickname between my college teammates and I, with ‘fridge’ meaning stomach, a big stomach.

“We told the Ping guys to put … ‘Big Fridge’ on it, and I think maybe some bad cell service or something, and they thought I said ‘fudge,’ so they put fudge on it.”

On Shipley’s 50-degree he also continues the food theme, this time with his go-to order at the “Golden Arches,” and his stamping “DONS 7.”

“The number 7 meal, the two cheeseburger meal, that was my McDonald’s order, back when I would have McDonald’s frequently,” Shipley shared.

Check out Shipley’s full what’s in the bag and the rest of his wedge stampings here on “Inside the Ropes” from Colonial.
