Arccos Golf launches Caddie Link Wearable
Arccos Golf has introduced Arccos Caddie Link – a wearable accessory that allows Arccos players to automatically capture their shot data without having to carry a smartphone on the course.
Arccos Caddie Link is designed to be worn on a player’s belt, waistband or pocket and tracks shots in real-time. Link will track the club used as well as the precise location and automatically transfers the data to a user’s smartphone via Bluetooth, either during or after the round.
The device which measures 2.25” (L) x 1.25” (W) x 0.75” (D), also provides players with the ability to mark the hole location by pushing a button while standing next to the pin.
Speaking on the new Caddie Link, Arccos Ambassador Trillium Rose stated:
“I am one of the biggest supporters of Arccos Caddie Link, both for me personally and my students, especially the women. When I play, I mainly wear skirts that only have one small pocket and a large iPhone XR doesn’t fit. I think a lot of women golfers are like me and they’re going to love the Link.”
Link is compatible with iPhone and Android devices, weighs less than 25 grams, boasts a 10-hour battery life and quickly charges via a standard micro USB cable.
The device is designed exclusively for use with second- and third-generation Arccos sensors, including all Cobra Golf and PING smart clubs, Arccos Caddie Smart Sensors and Arccos Caddie Smart Grips.
Arccos Caddie Link costs $99.99 and can be purchased on a first-served basis exclusively at www.arccosgolf.com.
Neal Shipley was the first to admit that he enjoyed his food while in college. But since his days at Ohio State, he’s slimmed down and earned a PGA Tour Card.
That hasn’t stopped him from having fun with his wedge stampings, though it’s led to some misunderstandings.
On the 54 (degree), we have ‘Big Fudge,'” Shipley told GolfWRX. “It was supposed to be ‘Big Fridge,’ so this happened a little while ago. ‘Big Fridge’ was a nickname between my college teammates and I, with ‘fridge’ meaning stomach, a big stomach.
“We told the Ping guys to put … ‘Big Fridge’ on it, and I think maybe some bad cell service or something, and they thought I said ‘fudge,’ so they put fudge on it.”
On Shipley’s 50-degree he also continues the food theme, this time with his go-to order at the “Golden Arches,” and his stamping “DONS 7.”
“The number 7 meal, the two cheeseburger meal, that was my McDonald’s order, back when I would have McDonald’s frequently,” Shipley shared.
