New limited-edition Tour Edge EXS Pro fairway metal and EXS Pro hybrid unveiled
Tour Edge has introduced its “Straight From The Tour Van” new limited-edition EXS Pro Fairway Metal and EXS Pro Hybrid.
The new Exotics fairway metal and hybrid features new shapes and forward CG positioning as well as some technology never-before employed by Tour Edge.
Speaking on the new line, Tour Edge President and Master Club Designer David Glod stated
“At first, we were just designing prototypes for the pro tours, but along the way, we realized that the market has a need for these tour-inspired designs as a limited edition series. With our previous Exotics launch, the EXS 220, we designed our most forgiving and stable clubs we’ve ever produced. The EXS Pro line is designed to bring the level up with the more traditional player with a faster swing speed who is looking for anti-left clubs with extremely low spin and penetrating ball flights.”
Tour Edge EXS Pro fairway metal
The new fairway metal from Tour Edge features a traditional pear shape with a deeper beta-Titanium cup face designed with the tour player in mind.
Designed for maximum workability, the EXS Pro features a slightly smaller 170cc head size on the 15-degree 3-wood, while an extreme slope from the middle of the crown to the back of the clubhead aims to compact the head and ensure low spin and a penetrating ball flight.

The fairway metal clubhead features a Flight Tuning System (FTS) designed to allow weighting to be adjusted for draw, neutral or fade bias. The latest addition from Tour Edge comes in a standard draw position (heel-10 grams and toe-5 grams), but by switching the 10-gram weight to the toe and the 5-gram weight to the heel, players can employ a fade setting.

The clubhead contains a forward Center of Gravity (CG) designed to produce the lowest possible amount of spin for faster swing speeds. The lower CG angle and toe biased weighting seeks to help to close the clubhead at impact to increase ball speed and to produce a slower closure rate at impact to be an anti-left fairway metal that is desired by players with faster swing speeds.

The EXS Pro fairway metals utilize a beta-titanium/360-degree cup face combo brazed onto a Hyper-Steel body. Combo brazing is a zero-welding technology that fuses Titanium to steel, reducing weight in the face in a technology designed to produce a faster and more powerful transfer of energy from club to ball.

The clubs feature wider SlipStream speed channels on the sole in a bid to provide more significant turf interaction, while the clubs also include a Sound Diffusion Bar which aims to improve the acoustics.

EXS Pro Hybrid
Featuring a deeper face, the new EXS Pro hybrid’s compact head is designed to produce faster ball speeds while achieving the same CT measurement as the larger EXS 220 series.

The EXS Pro hybrid also contains a Flight Tuning System which allows weighting to be adjusted for draw, neutral or fade bias. FTS dual weight ports are placed to the extreme heel (20 grams) and toe (5 grams) in the draw position, and by switching the 20-gram weight to the toe and the 5-gram weight to the heel, the club will produce a fade.

The new addition from Tour Edge features a Beta-Titanium face combo brazed with a zero-welding technology that fuses it onto a Stainless-Steel body – designed to reduce weight in the face and allow for a faster and more powerful transfer of energy.

Like the fairway metals, the new hybrids from Tour Edge also feature speed channels on the sole as well as a Sound Diffusion Bar.

Neal Shipley, AKA, the “Big Fridge’s,” custom stamping
Neal Shipley was the first to admit that he enjoyed his food while in college. But since his days at Ohio State, he’s slimmed down and earned a PGA Tour Card.
That hasn’t stopped him from having fun with his wedge stampings, though it’s led to some misunderstandings.
On the 54 (degree), we have ‘Big Fudge,'” Shipley told GolfWRX. “It was supposed to be ‘Big Fridge,’ so this happened a little while ago. ‘Big Fridge’ was a nickname between my college teammates and I, with ‘fridge’ meaning stomach, a big stomach.

“We told the Ping guys to put … ‘Big Fridge’ on it, and I think maybe some bad cell service or something, and they thought I said ‘fudge,’ so they put fudge on it.”
On Shipley’s 50-degree he also continues the food theme, this time with his go-to order at the “Golden Arches,” and his stamping “DONS 7.”
“The number 7 meal, the two cheeseburger meal, that was my McDonald’s order, back when I would have McDonald’s frequently,” Shipley shared.

I purchased the 3 wood last year and absolutely love the performance and look;however, would prefer more options in heavier shafts for both the fairway woods and hybrids!

Nice looking fairway, but a 60g shaft is just too light for a 3 wood (I know you can spec a heavier shaft)
60g seems to be the norm now for a stock 3 wood shaft with many OEM offerings

Wish they would go back to a matte black top instead of gloss. Can’t wait to try them though
