- Scott put the Kuro Kage in play this week. Per Titleist’s J.J. VanWezenbeeck, “Adam Scott switched to the TS4 driver at the ZoZo Championship due to head size, shape, and improved launch to spin ratios. This week, after discussions with Adam, he went to a shaft he had previously played for increased stability. He felt the shaft went a little far and he lost head feel. We went on course with lead tape to get the feels to match up then weighted the head to preferred swing weight after testing.”

On this episode of the Club Junkie Podcast, I head to the Titleist Performance Institute for a full driver fitting with the new Titleist GTS lineup. weird.. his old shaft (ADDI) has a higher balance point that a KK XT but they needed to add weight to the head?? Not making any sense. Unless that XTS proto he has is backweighted or something

Tour heads are often produced underweight in preparation for potential hot-melting. Easier to go up in weight, versus going down in weight.

2015-2016 Pro V1. Was a great low flying spinny ball.
