I don’t care how good you are, that tiny skinny , thin bit of lead tape is going to make nada difference on the wedge. Nothing.

Probably just there to add a teeny bit of weight to hit his preferred swingweight number in that club. It probably bothers some guys to know there club is at D2.75 instead of D3, even if they might not really be able to feel it by blindly swinging the club. It’s just peace of mind for some folks. That’s my guess anyway!
