Tour Edge introduce new Exotics Ti-Utility Iron
Tour Edge has introduced its new Exotics Ti-Utility Iron, a titanium-faced hollow-body iron-wood with a classic shape designed to combine the workability of a traditional forged iron and the distance of a metal wood.
The 2020 EXS Ti-Utility hollow-body iron features a Beta Titanium L-Cup Face that’s Combo Brazed onto a 431-stainless steel body seeking to provide players with maximum perimeter weighting fueled distance and forgiveness.

The Combo Brazing in the new utility iron from Tour Edge is a zero-welding technology that fuses Titanium to steel, reducing weight in the face in a bid to offer players a faster and more powerful transfer of energy from club to ball.
According to Tour Edge, the face of the 2020 Exotics Ti-Utility Iron is both softer and hotter than its predecessors in design to provide faster ball speeds, while the club also features a lighter face.

The lighter face in the Tour Edge Exotics Ti-Utility iron allowed designers to create a deeper CG (Center of Gravity), forming a narrower sole in a bid for ideal presentation at address. The deep CG is also designed to provide players with an easy to hit and launch utility iron due to the hollow-body design producing optimal perimeter weight distribution.

Speaking on the new release, Tour Edge President and Master Club Designer David Glod stated
“Tour Edge Exotics utility irons have seen a meteoric rise, becoming one of the most played utility irons on the professional tours. I have a great feeling that the EXS Ti-Utility will be in play by many of the best players in the world.”

A rounded hybrid-style sole combined with a beveled leading edge was created for the club to glide effortlessly through all lies, while the club also features a notch hosel that allows bending up or flat lies +/- 3 degrees for optimal custom fitting.

The new addition from Tour Edge for 2020 comes with #2/17-degree,#3/19-degree,#4/22-degree and #5/25-degree options and is available in either Chrome Silver or Black Pearl finishes.

The Exotics Ti-Utility Iron is available to purchase worldwide from April 1, 2020, and has a retail price of $199.99.

Neal Shipley, AKA, the “Big Fridge’s,” custom stamping
Neal Shipley was the first to admit that he enjoyed his food while in college. But since his days at Ohio State, he’s slimmed down and earned a PGA Tour Card.
That hasn’t stopped him from having fun with his wedge stampings, though it’s led to some misunderstandings.
On the 54 (degree), we have ‘Big Fudge,'” Shipley told GolfWRX. “It was supposed to be ‘Big Fridge,’ so this happened a little while ago. ‘Big Fridge’ was a nickname between my college teammates and I, with ‘fridge’ meaning stomach, a big stomach.

“We told the Ping guys to put … ‘Big Fridge’ on it, and I think maybe some bad cell service or something, and they thought I said ‘fudge,’ so they put fudge on it.”
On Shipley’s 50-degree he also continues the food theme, this time with his go-to order at the “Golden Arches,” and his stamping “DONS 7.”
“The number 7 meal, the two cheeseburger meal, that was my McDonald’s order, back when I would have McDonald’s frequently,” Shipley shared.
