Bettinardi unveils first limited-run putter of the new year: the 2020 Tiki
Bettinardi has unveiled its first limited-run putter of the new decade: the 2020 Tiki, crafted from the brand’s new BB8.1 head shape.
The new BB8.1 head shape showcased on the 2020 Tiki features a floating pocket and bumpers which are slightly larger for a dynamic look on the classic BB8 body.
The flatstick contains a hand-torched gold flame finish on the Fancy F.I.T Face which resembles the Hawaiian sunset and tides of the coastlines which will be on show at this week’s Sentry Tournament of Champions. The putter also boasts intricate tribal milling along the outer neck and bumpers.

The 2020 Tiki is a 355-gram precision-milled BB8.1, and in keeping with the Hawaiian feel, features a Hawaiian Gecko engraved across the sole, a tropical pineapple on the heel of the face, and Limited Run on the inner neck.

Finished in Honolulu blue and an electric yellow paint scheme, the limited-run Tiki comes paired with a matching Made in USA leather headcover, and an all-new sky blue Lamkin SINK Fit countered grip.

Priced at $750, the 2020 Tiki is available at select Bettinardi specialty dealers worldwide and online at Bettinardi.com on January 9th, 2020 and is limited to 350 pieces worldwide.
Bettinardi has also unveiled its new Hawaiian-themed ball marker ($60), pineapple divot tool (single prong, $85), and hat ($35), which are all being brought to retail in the Hive. More info on Bettinardi.com.

Neal Shipley, AKA, the “Big Fridge’s,” custom stamping
Neal Shipley was the first to admit that he enjoyed his food while in college. But since his days at Ohio State, he’s slimmed down and earned a PGA Tour Card.
That hasn’t stopped him from having fun with his wedge stampings, though it’s led to some misunderstandings.
On the 54 (degree), we have ‘Big Fudge,'” Shipley told GolfWRX. “It was supposed to be ‘Big Fridge,’ so this happened a little while ago. ‘Big Fridge’ was a nickname between my college teammates and I, with ‘fridge’ meaning stomach, a big stomach.

“We told the Ping guys to put … ‘Big Fridge’ on it, and I think maybe some bad cell service or something, and they thought I said ‘fudge,’ so they put fudge on it.”
On Shipley’s 50-degree he also continues the food theme, this time with his go-to order at the “Golden Arches,” and his stamping “DONS 7.”
“The number 7 meal, the two cheeseburger meal, that was my McDonald’s order, back when I would have McDonald’s frequently,” Shipley shared.
