Puma Cloudspun Collection

Puma Golf has introduced its new super comfy Cloudspun apparel collection featuring polos and layering pieces for men and women equipped with Cloudspun technology for ultimate softness.

According to Puma, the new Cloudspun technology has given way to the brand’s “softest, most lightweight, breathable, and stretchiest fabric” yet.

Backed up with the tagline ‘Ours Feels Better Than Yours”, the new collection from Puma features a custom-milled fabric, brushed for additional softness. The new additions also contain a moisture-wicking, four-way stretch fabric designed to deliver the softness of cotton and the performance of polyester without solely looking like a golf shirt.

Speaking on the new collection, Chris MacNeill, Senior Product Line Manager, PUMA Golf Apparel, stated

“We set out to design golf essentials that a golfer will actually want to live in, selecting custom fabrics that could move with the golfer wherever their day may take them.

Each piece feels just as comfortable as your favorite soft, cozy t-shirt, yet looks like a sophisticated, classic golf piece designed to perform with you on course. Feel is key when it comes to your apparel, and these pieces will feel better than anything you’ve ever worn.”

Neal Shipley, AKA, the “Big Fridge’s,” custom stamping

Published

on

Neal Shipley was the first to admit that he enjoyed his food while in college. But since his days at Ohio State, he’s slimmed down and earned a PGA Tour Card.

That hasn’t stopped him from having fun with his wedge stampings, though it’s led to some misunderstandings.

On the 54 (degree), we have ‘Big Fudge,'” Shipley told GolfWRX. “It was supposed to be ‘Big Fridge,’ so this happened a little while ago. ‘Big Fridge’ was a nickname between my college teammates and I, with ‘fridge’ meaning stomach, a big stomach.

“We told the Ping guys to put … ‘Big Fridge’ on it, and I think maybe some bad cell service or something, and they thought I said ‘fudge,’ so they put fudge on it.”

On Shipley’s 50-degree he also continues the food theme, this time with his go-to order at the “Golden Arches,” and his stamping “DONS 7.”

“The number 7 meal, the two cheeseburger meal, that was my McDonald’s order, back when I would have McDonald’s frequently,” Shipley shared.

Check out Shipley’s full what’s in the bag and the rest of his wedge stampings here on “Inside the Ropes” from Colonial.
