2020 Titleist staff bag debuts for FedEx Cup Playoffs
Who doesn’t love a staff bag?
This week at the BMW Championship, the second event of the PGA Tour’s FedEx Cup Playoffs, Titleist staff players with have the all-new 2020 Titleist staff bags to carry their gear.
Just like the new Titleist T-Series irons, the 2020 Titleist staff bag was co-styled and designed with input from the Titleist’s PGA Tour staff along with their caddies.
“I’m absolutely pumped for the new tour bag,” said 10th ranked player in the world Justin Thomas. “We’ve been asking for a fresh, new look and the designers came through big. I love the blacked-out design with the red zippers – and that white Titleist script just pops. It’s really slick.”
The colorway is also a sneak peek at the Titleist 2020 Jet Black Collection that will feature other golf bags along with accessories including leather headcovers.
We have seen Titleist move into these styles of bags before with the Links Masters bag, which could mean some very cool styling will be a port of this new collection.
2020 Titleist staff bag features
- Tour-proven 3-point single shoulder strap
- Durable materials and quilted highlights
- Premium metal hardware
- 5-way top cuff with integrated handles
- New Interior organization in apparel pockets
- Magnetic, velour-lined valuables pocket
AVAILABILITY
The Titleist Tour Bag ($550) is available in golf shops worldwide beginning September 1, with the complete Jet Black Collection coming in early 2020.

Neal Shipley, AKA, the “Big Fridge’s,” custom stamping
Neal Shipley was the first to admit that he enjoyed his food while in college. But since his days at Ohio State, he’s slimmed down and earned a PGA Tour Card.
That hasn’t stopped him from having fun with his wedge stampings, though it’s led to some misunderstandings.
On the 54 (degree), we have ‘Big Fudge,'” Shipley told GolfWRX. “It was supposed to be ‘Big Fridge,’ so this happened a little while ago. ‘Big Fridge’ was a nickname between my college teammates and I, with ‘fridge’ meaning stomach, a big stomach.

“We told the Ping guys to put … ‘Big Fridge’ on it, and I think maybe some bad cell service or something, and they thought I said ‘fudge,’ so they put fudge on it.”
On Shipley’s 50-degree he also continues the food theme, this time with his go-to order at the “Golden Arches,” and his stamping “DONS 7.”
“The number 7 meal, the two cheeseburger meal, that was my McDonald’s order, back when I would have McDonald’s frequently,” Shipley shared.

That’s sharp. But at a price that’s also way to sharp! $550 for a bag? It’s gotta be something way better than this for me to pull the trigger. Maybe if I can find it for $350 on eBay later.
