Bettinardi launches new limited-run Masters-themed BB1 Copper Classic putter
Bettinardi Golf has unveiled its latest limited run putter, the BB1 Copper Classic, of which just 250 pieces have been crafted worldwide.
The putter has been created in a .38 Special BB1 style head shape and features 303 stainless steel with a 110 copper insert over Bettinardi’s Honeycomb face milling in a design which aims to provide players with maximum softness and feel at impact.

The putter, which weighs 355 grams, is finished in a high polish face, sole, and neck with 110CU and 303SS milled on the bumpers.
The putter also features a Hex B centered in the pocket and features a single white alignment line.

The BB1 Copper Classic features a Lamkin Deep Etched Cord Grip and comes equipped with a quilted leather head cover. The Bettinardi logo on the back of the putter is green and yellow while the head cover features the same colors to commemorate the year’s first major.

The BB1 Copper Classic will be available to purchase at Bettinardi.com in the Hive on April 9 and select Bettinardi specialty dealers worldwide. It will retail for $800.

Neal Shipley, AKA, the “Big Fridge’s,” custom stamping
Neal Shipley was the first to admit that he enjoyed his food while in college. But since his days at Ohio State, he’s slimmed down and earned a PGA Tour Card.
That hasn’t stopped him from having fun with his wedge stampings, though it’s led to some misunderstandings.
On the 54 (degree), we have ‘Big Fudge,'” Shipley told GolfWRX. “It was supposed to be ‘Big Fridge,’ so this happened a little while ago. ‘Big Fridge’ was a nickname between my college teammates and I, with ‘fridge’ meaning stomach, a big stomach.

“We told the Ping guys to put … ‘Big Fridge’ on it, and I think maybe some bad cell service or something, and they thought I said ‘fudge,’ so they put fudge on it.”
On Shipley’s 50-degree he also continues the food theme, this time with his go-to order at the “Golden Arches,” and his stamping “DONS 7.”
“The number 7 meal, the two cheeseburger meal, that was my McDonald’s order, back when I would have McDonald’s frequently,” Shipley shared.
