In announcing his signing with the Carlsbad-based company, the Italian had this to say

“I am joining Callaway because I’m so impressed by their equipment. More than anything, I’m looking forward to playing the new Epic Flash Driver and the Chrome Soft X Golf Ball. The ball speed gains that I’m getting from the driver are unbelievable. And this golf ball is the best one that I’ve ever played. The performance from tee-to-green, especially the feel and control, is exactly what I want.”

He echoed the same enthusiastic sentiments about his equipment after the round

“My first week as a Callaway player…so happy to see that the switch I made wasn’t as crazy as some people thought. I know the clubs are good for me and I showed it this week.”

Well said guys. Love this dude and his calm demeanor. Crazy that he plays these heavy shafts in TX though. Just goes to show it’s not about SS and more about feel.

Looked like he had the Stability putter shaft. Can’t confirm though.

Looks like a great deal for Moliari and Callaway. So many of these switches go sideways. This is a testimony for Francesco’s ability to handle such a move and Callaway’s staff to produce such great clubs that fit Franceso’s swing needs in a rather short time period. Bravo to both!

I really like Francesco, super calm on the course, seems like a real gentleman off and is on a real role at the moment. Glad that we will see more of his play stateside in the next few years.

Probably the best hybrid Callaway ever made right there.

No, the XHot is, it’s way more user friendly for all

True – the XHot was also really, really solid. Pretty sure Furyk still games one to this day?!

….looks just like a Taylormade R15 (and the Adams before that)!

the best iron like hybrid ever. I game the ’16 4H and it is straight! like the square look at address.

He played just as well with TM gear. This is not a big deal.
It’s more about his new swing

What a good deal for Molinari to find a setup that was SPOT ON! Great deal for both parties, wow. Similar to Justin Rose winning w/ his new Honma setup. I wish I could win every time I get new clubs.
