Forum Thread of the Day: “New SeeMore putters”

Published

on

Today’s Forum Thread of the Day showcases the new SeeMore putters. The putters feature The SeeMore RifleScope Technology (RST), designed for an accurate setup and proper alignment. The technology has proven popular in the past and these new additions from SeeMore have generally been received well by our members on our forums.

We have plenty of photos of the new designs in our forum thread here.

Here are a few posts from our members giving their reaction to the new SeeMore putters, but make sure to check out the entire thread and have your say at the link below.

  • hardcaliber: “Big SeeMore fan here. They are one of the only companies doing anything unique in the market. Aging stainless steel extra times doesn’t count.”
  • evoviiiyou: “Love the SeeMore, and these are more modern looking. Very nice. Thanks for posting”
  • Jordan Speeth: “I always dismissed these putters in the past too….UNTIL their Tour rep showed up on our putting green one morning with this exact presentation.  I wasn’t in any particular hurry, so I picked up the one that looked the least offensive to me to have a look.  The fellow adjusted the length and lie on an Original black Si5, and I was bombing in 25’ers like my namesake.”

Static alignment at Address is prone to two problems.
    1. The chosen line is wrong so alignment at Address is irrelevant.
    2. The moment you move the putter into dynamic stroking mode all the static alignments are lost. How do you maintain dynamic control of the putting stroke?

I agree with Stevek above. He sounds like an engineer while I am a salesman so cannot speak to his comments. But will say I have tried the alignment set up and it always feels off. Like the face is pointing left. Not to mention the putter is a lot like an iron where the player has different ways to hold and stroke the putter. So that alignment does not help. I will say that SeeMore putters are quality made and have had a couple good ones.

Thank you, Benny…. you are correct in your observations. See More putters may give you added confidence at Address and that will make you feel better when you start your putting stroke. However, these fancy modern putters are no better than a well controlled Bullseye putter, and that only happens after long and intensive practice putting. No magic putter out there.

Neal Shipley, AKA, the “Big Fridge’s,” custom stamping

Published

on

Neal Shipley was the first to admit that he enjoyed his food while in college. But since his days at Ohio State, he’s slimmed down and earned a PGA Tour Card.

That hasn’t stopped him from having fun with his wedge stampings, though it’s led to some misunderstandings.

On the 54 (degree), we have ‘Big Fudge,'” Shipley told GolfWRX. “It was supposed to be ‘Big Fridge,’ so this happened a little while ago. ‘Big Fridge’ was a nickname between my college teammates and I, with ‘fridge’ meaning stomach, a big stomach.

“We told the Ping guys to put … ‘Big Fridge’ on it, and I think maybe some bad cell service or something, and they thought I said ‘fudge,’ so they put fudge on it.”

On Shipley’s 50-degree he also continues the food theme, this time with his go-to order at the “Golden Arches,” and his stamping “DONS 7.”

“The number 7 meal, the two cheeseburger meal, that was my McDonald’s order, back when I would have McDonald’s frequently,” Shipley shared.

Check out Shipley’s full what’s in the bag and the rest of his wedge stampings here on “Inside the Ropes” from Colonial.
