I’ve been in the business for a couple decades and have never met a nicer guy. One of Oceanside’s finest! I find it very refreshing hearing stories from the younger generation of golf enthusiasts. Im also quite positive if you take the time to tell Jacob about your wedge shot patterns he is a going to not only make your wedge shine but make you a better player. He’s the real deal.

All of the voices in the anti-Kavanagh demonstrations were women voices…. older and younger millennial man-hating man-bashing feminists marching, screaming, demonstrating against the rule of law. Men are silent, hiding, frightened. These crazed women hate old white men… their fathers. Hide on the golf course, cowards.

What does this have to do with wedges?

Bruce seems to think,(using that term loosely), rather than join women protesting a child molesting, drunk for Supreme Court
many men hide on the golf course, with their wedge by their side.

Guys talk about wanting “Tour Quality” pieces and getting to see the real craftsmen behind them. This guy is learning, but is miles behind talents liike Aaron Dill, Rusty Estes and a couple others. What? Those names aren’t familiar? That is because they were not built overnight on social media, with pretty pictures and fluff. Rusty is the REAL man behind Fourteen Tour clubs and works his butt off in an independent tour van. Aaron is someone who impressed Mr Vokey enough in a very short time, that Bob knew, “this is the guy!” You’ve managed a second fluff piece on a personality built on pretty pictures and social media prowess. Congratulations.

On this episode of Club Junkie, I put the new Tour Edge Exotics Mini Driver to the test and break down the performance, forgiveness, distance, and where it fits compared to a traditional driver or strong fairway wood. If you have been curious about adding a mini driver to the bag, this one is worth a look.

I also dive into the new TaylorMade Spider ZT Max putter that was recently spotted and discuss the growing zero torque putter trend. Plus, there is a closer look at the new Project X Titan Yellow shaft showing up on the PGA Tour and what makes it different from other profiles currently out there.

Published

on

On this episode of Club Junkie, I dive into the brand-new Ping i540 irons and talk about where they fit in the lineup, their performance on the course, and who I think they are really made for. There is a lot to love — and maybe one complaint in the new i540 irons.

The show also covers the new L.A.B. VZN.1i putters that have started showing up, plus some new Graphite Design Tour AD shafts spotted out on the PGA Tour and what makes them interesting. Wrapping things up, I might swap a few shafts into some putters and talk through how those changes might completely alter feel and performance.

Club Junkie’s Titleist GTS driver fitting results!

Published

on

On this episode of the Club Junkie Podcast, I head to the Titleist Performance Institute for a full driver fitting with the new Titleist GTS lineup. We dive into the fitting process, talk about what made the biggest difference in performance, and break down how the different GTS heads and shaft combinations compare on the launch monitor. If you are thinking about a new driver setup for this season, there is a lot to take away from this one.

I also get into Brooks Koepka and the gear setup he brought to the PGA Championship, including the putters that caught my eye during the week. There are some interesting equipment trends showing up at the highest level right now and we break down what stands out.

To wrap things up, I talk about reshafting a few wedges, what I learned during the process, and swapping an adaptor onto a new shaft for another build project in the shop. A gear packed episode from start to finish for anyone who loves golf equipment and club building.
