Do GolfWRX members think Tiger Woods will win the Valspar Championship?
Words just a few months ago only the most die-hard of Tiger truthers would have expected to read: Tiger Woods seized the lead at a PGA Tour event today. He was tied for the lead at four under when he finished his round.
The 14-time major champion took the outright lead with a birdie on his 14th hole of the day at Innisbrook’s Copperhead Course after grabbing a share three holes prior with the birdie below .

Woods built on the positive momentum of an opening-round 1-under 70 with his second-round 68; he was buoyed by better play off the tee and an excellent putting performance. Woods carded four birdies, burning edges of a couple of additional birdie efforts. His only bogey came after an untidy wedge into the final green left him short-sided and unable to save par.
“I’ve got a chance going into the weekend,” Woods said after the round. “I keep getting a little bit better here and there, making these subtle tweaks. I needed a little bit more tournament time in and I’ve done that. I’m getting feel for it, finding the rhythm of rounds and not having a problem posting scores.”
Woods was tied for the lead a four under when he tapped in his final putt. He’ll enter the weekend in contention, in pursuit of his first win in more than four years.

So, having suggested he can contend at PGA National, and having shown it with certainty at Innisbrook today, the question is can Tiger Woods really win this golf tournament?
Expectations, like Woods’ Masters odds, have adjusted faster than downhill, down grain putt on a U.S. Open green every time he’s teed it up this year. We’re curious what you think, GolfWRX members, will Tiger Woods win the Valspar Championship?

He has lost the fear factor, and that is big. A lot of the new players know what he was, but still say who? There are more good players today than ever. He has done it, we all know, but the tide is changing. We have to respect his desire.

I called it early he should win one of these two events before Masters
Motivation he has the desire to win has never been higher for him and then he can beat them all on sheer will.
However, he havent won yet…….

Golf is in the doldrums without a winning Tiger…. it’s in a deep quagmire and sinking into it’s own miasma. He’s the last great white hope for golf to recover it’s past glory among tv watchers seeking a hero to emulate, talk about, fantacize over… Come Back Tiger!!!

I hope after he wins he holds up double middles to all the haters. 79 wins and 14 majors to date. Say that out loud, how can you think that guy will never win again. If not this week, this year for sure
Golf has nothing to do with fidelity for all you moralist.

Like anyone cares what you think. Golf is also just a game and in the grand scheme of things means nothing.
