Ping extends deal with LPGA star In Gee Chun
Ping has signed In Gee Chun, a two-time LPGA major champion and No. 4-ranked golfer in the Rolex World Rankings, to a multi-year deal.
Since turning pro in 2012, the now 22-year-old has won 13 times worldwide including the 2016 Evian Masters and the 2015 U.S. Women’s Open. She was also awarded the LPGA tour’s Louise Suggs Rolex Rookie of the Year honor in 2016.
“In Gee has been playing at an elite level since she turned pro in 2012, but it’s still amazing that she’s only 22 and has already won 13 times worldwide,” Ping Chairman John A. Solheim said in a press release. “As her multiple major titles demonstrate, she has a tremendous all-around game and her consistency is what any player looks for. It seems like if she’s not winning she’s always in the mix on Sunday. We welcome the continuation of our relationship with In Gee and we look forward to watching her compete in the coming year.”
The deal with Ping dictates that Chun uses a Ping staff bag, showcases a Ping logo on the side of her hat and that she plays a minimum off 11 Ping clubs including a Ping driver and putter.
Here’s are the Ping clubs in her bag currently as she tees it up in this week’s Honda LPGA Thailand.

Neal Shipley, AKA, the “Big Fridge’s,” custom stamping
Neal Shipley was the first to admit that he enjoyed his food while in college. But since his days at Ohio State, he’s slimmed down and earned a PGA Tour Card.
That hasn’t stopped him from having fun with his wedge stampings, though it’s led to some misunderstandings.
On the 54 (degree), we have ‘Big Fudge,'” Shipley told GolfWRX. “It was supposed to be ‘Big Fridge,’ so this happened a little while ago. ‘Big Fridge’ was a nickname between my college teammates and I, with ‘fridge’ meaning stomach, a big stomach.

“We told the Ping guys to put … ‘Big Fridge’ on it, and I think maybe some bad cell service or something, and they thought I said ‘fudge,’ so they put fudge on it.”
On Shipley’s 50-degree he also continues the food theme, this time with his go-to order at the “Golden Arches,” and his stamping “DONS 7.”
“The number 7 meal, the two cheeseburger meal, that was my McDonald’s order, back when I would have McDonald’s frequently,” Shipley shared.

But it’s so weird how so many of the Korean female star players all play Srixon balls and not their own Volvik
