Callaway’s new Xfer shoe line
Callaway’s new footwear offering, the Xfer line comes in Pro, Vibe and Sport models. With the new footwear, the company is focused on the three principles of foot control: alignment, stability, and traction.
The line’s technology is designed to allow a player to transfer maximum power throughout the swing, minimizing energy loss from either the foot sliding in the shoe or the shoe slipping on the turf.
And Callaway isn’t just toying with the center of gravity in its woods: All of the shoes in the Xfer line are designed to lower the foot’s center of gravity, allowing it to sit in a power powerful position.
Xfer Pro — $169

- A minimized toe-to-heel height lowers the foot’s center of gravity.
- An adjustable X Cage structure that’s built into the upper to hug the foot.
- Superfeet Pro insole.
- Xfer Dynamic Traction Technology, which combines built-in tractional elements with strategically placed Pro Flex PINS for better traction.
- The Xfer Power Wall, which prevents foot slide and slippage during the swing, and absorbs energy during the loading and unloading of the swing.
Xfer Vibe — $149

- Vibe outsole with Xfertractional wall and Triangulated Traction technologies.
- XStrek, a highly durable rubber compound for maximum grip.
- High-performance Clarino microfiber upper.
- Clarino microfiber X Cage overlay that hugs the foot.
- Superfeet Pro insoles.
- Secondary set of fashion laces.

Xfer Sport – $129

- A minimized toe-to-heel height to lower the foot’s CG.
- TPU X Cage overlay.
- Xfer Dynamic Traction Technology, which combines built-in tractional elements with strategically placed Pro Flex PINS for better traction.
- The Xfer Power Wall, which prevents foot slide and slippage during the swing, and absorbs energy during the loading and unloading of the swing.
- Ortholite 3D comfort insole.

All three models are available in sizes 8-to-13 and medium width.

Neal Shipley, AKA, the “Big Fridge’s,” custom stamping
Neal Shipley was the first to admit that he enjoyed his food while in college. But since his days at Ohio State, he’s slimmed down and earned a PGA Tour Card.
That hasn’t stopped him from having fun with his wedge stampings, though it’s led to some misunderstandings.
On the 54 (degree), we have ‘Big Fudge,'” Shipley told GolfWRX. “It was supposed to be ‘Big Fridge,’ so this happened a little while ago. ‘Big Fridge’ was a nickname between my college teammates and I, with ‘fridge’ meaning stomach, a big stomach.

“We told the Ping guys to put … ‘Big Fridge’ on it, and I think maybe some bad cell service or something, and they thought I said ‘fudge,’ so they put fudge on it.”
On Shipley’s 50-degree he also continues the food theme, this time with his go-to order at the “Golden Arches,” and his stamping “DONS 7.”
“The number 7 meal, the two cheeseburger meal, that was my McDonald’s order, back when I would have McDonald’s frequently,” Shipley shared.

Don’t know why Callaway can’t make golf shoes. These new ones don’t have enough spikes or arch support. Flop.
