Does he not use a 64 degree wedge anymore?

Changes drivers too much as well. Best driver callaway ever made is the octane. The new drivers are Made too light and you have to swing them hard to get the same distance. Results in less control

Amazing to see so many Callaway staffers bagging x forged 2013 irons, they must be good, really good

Phil doesn’t use the Chrome Soft. Callaway engineers a golf ball just for him based on his needs and wants, he is a spokesman for something he doesn’t even use.

I think he does use the Chrome Soft, but at a higher compression. I think he used higher compression for his Chrome + too, but yes, technically speaking the Chrome Soft he uses isn’t the same you will find at a golf store. This is based on what I read, and if wrong I will stand corrected.

Before boldly dismissing something, you should do the research…It’s been confirmed already that Phil used the retail version of the Chrome Soft (65 compression) at the Humana because the prototype wasn’t available. Since then, Callaway’s stated that Phil, Pat Perez and the guy who recently won at senior tour event are using a prototype Chrome Soft (85 compression) that is considered the “tour” version and something that Callaway will probably announce spring or summer. Kind of like the Hex Chrome had the Chrome + version.

Seve was one of the best wedge players in the game (good with his hands) but the putter yips ruined his pro golf career. Same thing can be said for Tiger but with the wedge yips…. Gotta do whatever you gotta do

Just find it hard to believe he is using a superstroke. Phil’s greatest gift may be his hands and he is using a grip to minimize their involvement in his stroke!

Very good point now that you mention it.

Phil is also a big guy with very big hands. Need a bigger grip.

Larger grip may also have to do with arthritis.
