David Leadbetter

David Leadbetter is regarded by many as the world’s premier golf instructor, 2017 PGA Teacher of the Year, PGA Hall of Fame Professional and a regular contributor to the Golf Channel. He began his career on the European and Southern African tours, but had little success as a player. Having an interest in the techniques, mechanics and psychology of the sport, he soon moved into instruction and came to wide notice in the 1980s when he rebuilt the swing of Nick Faldo, who then went on to win six major championships. David has coached a number of players—including Greg Norman, Ernie Els, Nick Price, Charles Howell III, Michelle Wie, Lydia Ko and Byeong Hun An—to 26 major championship titles and more than 150 individual worldwide tournament victories, and seven of those players have held first place in the Official World Golf Ranking. David has also authored nine books that have sold more than two million copies and produced countless instructional videos and training aids, including the world-famous SwingSetter, Boomerang, and StraightAway.
