Srixon debuts Trackline alignment system on Q-Star Ultispeed golf balls
Srixon has expanded its lineup of golf balls with the introduction of the Q-Star Ultispeed with Trackline, a new version of its distance-focused model designed to give players more visual feedback and alignment help on the greens.
The new ball keeps the performance foundation of the Q-Star Ultispeed while adding a bold two-stamp alignment feature intended to help golfers line up putts and track spin more easily. Alignment-focused golf balls have become increasingly popular among everyday players, and Srixon is aiming to meet that demand while maintaining a traditional look.
Inside the ball is the company’s FastLayer Core, a technology developed over the past decade that gradually transitions from a softer center to a firmer outer edge. The 85-compression design is intended to produce faster ball speeds and longer carry while still providing enough feel and control for players with moderate swing speeds.
A soft, thin cover is also designed to improve short-game performance by generating more spin on approach shots and greenside chips.
In the air, the ball uses Srixon’s 338 Speed Dimple Pattern, which helps reduce drag at launch and maintain lift throughout the flight. The aerodynamic design is also meant to keep the ball stable in windy conditions, promoting consistent distance and accuracy.

Srixon Q-Star Ultispeed with Trackline balls are available now for $29.99 per dozen and come in Pure White and Tour Yellow color options.
Neal Shipley was the first to admit that he enjoyed his food while in college. But since his days at Ohio State, he’s slimmed down and earned a PGA Tour Card.
That hasn’t stopped him from having fun with his wedge stampings, though it’s led to some misunderstandings.
On the 54 (degree), we have ‘Big Fudge,'” Shipley told GolfWRX. “It was supposed to be ‘Big Fridge,’ so this happened a little while ago. ‘Big Fridge’ was a nickname between my college teammates and I, with ‘fridge’ meaning stomach, a big stomach.
“We told the Ping guys to put … ‘Big Fridge’ on it, and I think maybe some bad cell service or something, and they thought I said ‘fudge,’ so they put fudge on it.”
On Shipley’s 50-degree he also continues the food theme, this time with his go-to order at the “Golden Arches,” and his stamping “DONS 7.”
“The number 7 meal, the two cheeseburger meal, that was my McDonald’s order, back when I would have McDonald’s frequently,” Shipley shared.
