Marco Penge makes big changes to his bag after signing equipment deal with PXG
Marco Penge enjoyed a serious breakout year in 2025 on the DP World Tour, winning three times to climb inside the top-30 in the world in the OWGR.
The 27-year-old’s bag last season featured plenty of clubs from Mizuno, and despite his best year yet, Penge has now decided to sign an equipment deal with PXG ahead of his rookie season on the PGA Tour.
New additions to the Englishman’s bag are a new driver, mini driver as well as a full new iron set. Penge will put the PXG Lightning Tour Mid Driver in at the top of his bag along with PXG’s Secret Weapon mini driver.
Penge will also be replacing his Mizuno Pro S-3 irons with PXG’s 0311 GEN8 (4-iron) and the brand’s 0317 ST irons (5-PW). Making up his bag for 2026 will be Vokey wedges, a Titleist T 5.2 Tour Prototype putter, and a Mizuno Pro Fli Hi (2) utility iron.
Speaking on the signing, Bob Parsons, founder and CEO of PXG, said:
“Marco is driven, talented, and unapologetically competitive, exactly the kind of player we want representing PXG. He’s committed to getting better every day, and we’re proud to support him with equipment built to perform at the highest level.”
PXG’s current roster includes Penge, Jake, Knapp, Celine Boutier, Eric Cole, and Christiaan Bezuidenhout.

Neal Shipley, AKA, the “Big Fridge’s,” custom stamping
Neal Shipley was the first to admit that he enjoyed his food while in college. But since his days at Ohio State, he’s slimmed down and earned a PGA Tour Card.
That hasn’t stopped him from having fun with his wedge stampings, though it’s led to some misunderstandings.
On the 54 (degree), we have ‘Big Fudge,'” Shipley told GolfWRX. “It was supposed to be ‘Big Fridge,’ so this happened a little while ago. ‘Big Fridge’ was a nickname between my college teammates and I, with ‘fridge’ meaning stomach, a big stomach.

“We told the Ping guys to put … ‘Big Fridge’ on it, and I think maybe some bad cell service or something, and they thought I said ‘fudge,’ so they put fudge on it.”
On Shipley’s 50-degree he also continues the food theme, this time with his go-to order at the “Golden Arches,” and his stamping “DONS 7.”
“The number 7 meal, the two cheeseburger meal, that was my McDonald’s order, back when I would have McDonald’s frequently,” Shipley shared.
