PXG adds blade option to Zero Torque lineup with new Hellcat ZT putter
Today, PXG has expanded its Zero Torque (ZT) putter lineup with the release of the PXG Hellcat ZT putter, a blade-style offering designed to deliver the same face-stabilizing benefits as its mid-mallet and mallet counterparts.
Thus, PXG’s torque-free lineup now includes:
- Blade (Hellcat ZT)
- Mid-mallet (Allan ZT)
- Mallet (Bat Attack ZT)

PXG Hellcat ZT putter: Key technology
- Zero Torque balance technology: Shaft axis is placed over the center of gravity to minimize face manipulation during the stroke.
- MIM 303 stainless steel construction: Delivers a soft yet solid feel with a clean, streamlined profile.
- Pyramid face pattern: Promotes consistent roll and enhanced feel across the face.
- Patented S-hosel: Positions the shaft axis above the center of gravity for toe-up balance and added stability.
- 4 degree measured loft: Plays like three degrees thanks to built-in one degree of forward press.

What PXG says:
“With traditional putters, you’ve got to manipulate the face to keep it square,” said Brad Schweigert, PXG Chief Product Officer. “Our Zero Torque design places the shaft axis over the center-of-gravity, so you don’t have to think about that. You just swing from the shoulders, and the clubhead stays square – pure, efficient, and reliable.”
“With the Hellcat ZT, we’ve packed top putting technology into a badass blade that feels amazing, rolls pure, and performs like nothing else out there — all for a price that makes you say, ‘Why the hell not?’” added PXG Founder & CEO Bob Parsons.

Club Junkie’s take
“PXG has done a nice job with the Hellcat ZT putter. It simply looks nicer than its $250 price tag. Zero torque putters are wildly hot right now, and this blade gives you a nice feel of the face staying square to the target while having a more traditional look to it. PXG’s S Hosel seems to allow your eyes to see more of the putter head like you would with a normal blade design. The familiar soft feel from PXG’s pyramid face puts a good roll on the ball, adding to the consistency from the zero torque design.”

Neal Shipley, AKA, the “Big Fridge’s,” custom stamping
Neal Shipley was the first to admit that he enjoyed his food while in college. But since his days at Ohio State, he’s slimmed down and earned a PGA Tour Card.
That hasn’t stopped him from having fun with his wedge stampings, though it’s led to some misunderstandings.
On the 54 (degree), we have ‘Big Fudge,'” Shipley told GolfWRX. “It was supposed to be ‘Big Fridge,’ so this happened a little while ago. ‘Big Fridge’ was a nickname between my college teammates and I, with ‘fridge’ meaning stomach, a big stomach.

“We told the Ping guys to put … ‘Big Fridge’ on it, and I think maybe some bad cell service or something, and they thought I said ‘fudge,’ so they put fudge on it.”
On Shipley’s 50-degree he also continues the food theme, this time with his go-to order at the “Golden Arches,” and his stamping “DONS 7.”
“The number 7 meal, the two cheeseburger meal, that was my McDonald’s order, back when I would have McDonald’s frequently,” Shipley shared.

Ugly true, but if combined with EGOS, then lower PPR is guaranteed…

Wish they included a top down view. I think more golfers would get on board if these zero torques weren’t so ugly….
