Spotted: Piretti Golf No-Torque putters
Piretti isn’t a name that every golfer knows, but they have been making high-quality, milled putters since 2008. Piretti putters have seen some use on the PGA Tour when Tony Finau used a couple of different models for a few years. Piretti crafts all of its putters right here in the United States, with its headquarters located in Spring, Texas. We spotted some new No-Torque putters out on the practice green at the 2025 Texas Houston Open this week.
Savona 2.5
This looks to be a smaller mallet with wings that run down the outside of the putter. These wings are then connected at the back with a flat bar, leaving a rectangular hole in the middle of the putter. A short plumbers neck is attached backwards on the topline to get the shaft axis going through the center of the putter, behind the face. This design gives it the No-Torque balance, where the face will stay pointed at the target throughout the stroke. Piretti keeps it simple with a frosted silver finish and single black sight line on the flange of the putter. A traditional fly milling is done on the face with the Piretti logo over on the heel.

Farrara 2.5
Piretti used the same short plumbers neck on the blade version No-Torque putter. The body of the putter looks like an Anser/Newport with its soft, rounded bumpers flanking the rear cavity. Again they used a simple sight line on the flange for alignment while the sole has just the putter name and “No-Torque” milled into it. Like its mallet sibling, a medium depth face milling is done to give the putter a soft feel and sound with the Piretti logo.

Neal Shipley, AKA, the “Big Fridge’s,” custom stamping
Neal Shipley was the first to admit that he enjoyed his food while in college. But since his days at Ohio State, he’s slimmed down and earned a PGA Tour Card.
That hasn’t stopped him from having fun with his wedge stampings, though it’s led to some misunderstandings.
On the 54 (degree), we have ‘Big Fudge,'” Shipley told GolfWRX. “It was supposed to be ‘Big Fridge,’ so this happened a little while ago. ‘Big Fridge’ was a nickname between my college teammates and I, with ‘fridge’ meaning stomach, a big stomach.

“We told the Ping guys to put … ‘Big Fridge’ on it, and I think maybe some bad cell service or something, and they thought I said ‘fudge,’ so they put fudge on it.”
On Shipley’s 50-degree he also continues the food theme, this time with his go-to order at the “Golden Arches,” and his stamping “DONS 7.”
“The number 7 meal, the two cheeseburger meal, that was my McDonald’s order, back when I would have McDonald’s frequently,” Shipley shared.
