Our Take on Galvin Green’s Ames and Larry jackets

The Ames

Based on our testing and personal use, Galvin Green has long been the standard for wind and rainwear. Made from a 100 percent waterproof, windproof fabric, Galvin Green’s Ames jacket is the brand’s stretchiest jacket that they’ve ever made. Allowing for maximum breathability and flexibility, the Ames jacket is exactly what golfers want to have on to battle the elements out on the course without feeling restricted. 

At the heart of the Ames jacket’s design is its impressive Pertex Shield 3-layer stretch technology. This advanced fabric incorporates a hydrophilic polyurethane (PU) membrane, which effectively attracts and retains water molecules.
