Spotted: Odyssey Ai-One Square 2 Square Max 1 & Max 1 Stripe putters
In the world of golf equipment, we often see brands take inspiration from others when it comes to design and shape. This week at the 2025 Valspar Championship, we spotted a couple of new Odyssey Square 2 Square putters on the tour truck. These new Square 2 Square models definitely have a familiar shape to them when you look down at address.
Each putter looks very similar in shape to the L.A.B. Golf DF3 putter that we first spotted at the 2024 Sony Open, but without the hole in the back for picking up a golf ball. Like the DF3, these Square 2 Square models have a zero torque or lie angle balance to them where the face will stay pointed at the target throughout the stroke.

(Odyssey Ai One Square to Square Max)
Unlike the L.A.B. putters, these Odyssey flatsticks utilize the company’s popular Ai-One face technology that helps keep speed consistent on off-center strikes. Additionally, the rounded rear section of the putter should also add some stability to the putters as a lot of weight can be pushed far back in the head.

Callaway isn’t giving any details on them yet, so everything here is speculation!

Neal Shipley, AKA, the “Big Fridge’s,” custom stamping
Neal Shipley was the first to admit that he enjoyed his food while in college. But since his days at Ohio State, he’s slimmed down and earned a PGA Tour Card.
That hasn’t stopped him from having fun with his wedge stampings, though it’s led to some misunderstandings.
On the 54 (degree), we have ‘Big Fudge,'” Shipley told GolfWRX. “It was supposed to be ‘Big Fridge,’ so this happened a little while ago. ‘Big Fridge’ was a nickname between my college teammates and I, with ‘fridge’ meaning stomach, a big stomach.

“We told the Ping guys to put … ‘Big Fridge’ on it, and I think maybe some bad cell service or something, and they thought I said ‘fudge,’ so they put fudge on it.”
On Shipley’s 50-degree he also continues the food theme, this time with his go-to order at the “Golden Arches,” and his stamping “DONS 7.”
“The number 7 meal, the two cheeseburger meal, that was my McDonald’s order, back when I would have McDonald’s frequently,” Shipley shared.

This Odyssey putter steals the original zero-torque feature which began with PUKU followed by the P&SI-EGOS which is featured in Amazon books with large pics & font. Only $27 which is a smoking deal for a lifetime skill. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DJT2YLL9
