Ping announces 2025 Scottsdale putter lineup
Ping today announced the 2025 Scottsdale putter family.
This new line features nine models, each designed with a face insert inspired by athletic-shoe technology for enhanced feel and consistency.
Let’s dig in.
2025 Ping Scottsdale putters: What’s new, key technology
9 models
- Scottsdale Craz-E
- Prime Tyne 4
- Prime Tyne C
- Oslo 3
- Anser
- Anser 2D
- Anser 4
- B63
- DS72
Pebax Elastomer Insert: Inspired by the elastic properties found in athletic shoe soles, this lightweight material provides a soft yet responsive feel, improving distance control and consistency.
High MOI design: Large face-insert cavities redistribute weight toward the perimeter, increasing forgiveness and stability through impact.
Optimized CG placement: Reduces skid and promotes a smoother forward roll for greater accuracy.
Larger head sizes on some models: Ensures even greater forgiveness for those seeking a game-improvement putter.
“The combination of the softer insert and higher MOI in every model delivers the preferred feel and ball-speed control many golfers need to improve their consistency on the greens,” said Ping CEO & President John K. Solheim. “We like to categorize these as game-improvement putters.”
Easy-to-aim design
- Subtle color blocking enhances focus on the top rail for improved alignment.
- Available in blade, mid-mallet, and mallet designs to match a golfer’s visual preference.
Fits all stroke types
- Models cater to Ping’s three stroke types: Straight, slight arc, and strong arc.
- Various hosel styles ensure a perfect match for every golfer.
“We continue to encourage golfers to take the time to get custom fit for their putters,” Solheim added. “From finding the best stroke type for your game to matching the putter’s look to your eye, a custom-fit putter can make a huge difference on the scorecard.”

Neal Shipley, AKA, the “Big Fridge’s,” custom stamping
Neal Shipley was the first to admit that he enjoyed his food while in college. But since his days at Ohio State, he’s slimmed down and earned a PGA Tour Card.
That hasn’t stopped him from having fun with his wedge stampings, though it’s led to some misunderstandings.
On the 54 (degree), we have ‘Big Fudge,'” Shipley told GolfWRX. “It was supposed to be ‘Big Fridge,’ so this happened a little while ago. ‘Big Fridge’ was a nickname between my college teammates and I, with ‘fridge’ meaning stomach, a big stomach.

“We told the Ping guys to put … ‘Big Fridge’ on it, and I think maybe some bad cell service or something, and they thought I said ‘fudge,’ so they put fudge on it.”
On Shipley’s 50-degree he also continues the food theme, this time with his go-to order at the “Golden Arches,” and his stamping “DONS 7.”
“The number 7 meal, the two cheeseburger meal, that was my McDonald’s order, back when I would have McDonald’s frequently,” Shipley shared.
