Toulon Golf announces 2025 putter lineup
Toulon Golf has announced its 2025 putter lineup. Before we dig into all the particulars, here’s a summary of some high-level notes from Toulon on its latest offerings:
The 2025 putter collection features a focus on softer feel, enhanced aesthetics, and improved sound. The collection introduces five new models, each catering to a range of player preferences. The Hollywood steps in as a squared-off blade with a soft tri-sole, inspired by the preferences of an all-time great. The Charleston, a mid-mallet born from the popularity of the Sea Island shape, makes a permanent home in the lineup. The Carlsbad merges Toulon craftsmanship with Odyssey’s famous two-ball alignment, offering a high-MOI mallet built for forgiveness. Meanwhile, the Miami debuts as another multi-material mallet, and the Alcatraz Mini brings a smaller footprint to the fan-favorite Alcatraz, reminiscent of the older Seattle model.

The key theme for 2025 is softness, both in feel and aesthetics. Toulon achieves this through a deeper milling pattern, the Deep Tuna Face Mill, and a material switch from 303 to 304 stainless steel, enhancing the putters’ softness at impact. Additionally, the putters feature smoother blends, edges, and radii for a refined look. Many mallets also include sound-enhancing gaskets beneath the sole plates to optimize acoustics.
With 10 models in total — seven mallets and three blades — Toulon follows the industry-wide trend favoring mallets, which dominate sales at a 3:1 ratio. The left-handed offering expands this year, adding Austin and Carlsbad H1 while tweaking neck options for existing models like the Vegas and Alcatraz. Notably, the Vegas putter shape has been significantly redesigned to mirror a model that secured multiple major victories last year. Despite these refinements, Toulon maintains 2024 pricing across the board, with the Carlsbad as the only exception, starting at $650.

Toulon Golf 2025 collection: What’s new, key technology
Refined aesthetics with Anthracite finish
- All models, both new and existing, have undergone substantial design refinements to enhance beauty and performance.
- Every radius, edge, and top line has been rethought for a more refined look.
- The new Anthracite finish provides a deep, lustrous appearance, enhancing playability while reducing glare.
- Mallets feature a light satin texture to minimize reflections, while blades like Austin and Hollywood showcase the precision of Toulon’s slow milling process.
Heritage-inspired design elements
- The 2025 collection incorporates a new Heritage Blue and White color scheme, accented with Italian Racing Red details on grips, headcovers, and select hosel designs.
Enhanced face milling for better feel and sound
- Introduction of the Deep Tuna Face Mill, slightly deeper than in the 2024 lineup, combined with Small Tuna over-mill for improved feel and control.
- 304 stainless steel is used across the collection for a softer feel and better machinability.
- Face thickness varies by model to optimize feel and responsiveness.
Acoustic adjustments
- Toulon Golf emphasizes the relationship between sound, feel, and distance control.
- New sound-enhancing technologies help minimize unwanted vibrations.
- Many new mallets include sound-enhancing gaskets beneath sole plates to fine-tune acoustics.
Precision-tuned performance
- Toulon’s face mill pattern is designed similarly to a tire tread—channeling vibration to create a controlled and consistent sound profile.
- Sound perception is tuned to align with the golfer’s lead ear, making impact feel softer and more responsive.
- The entire putter design harmonizes feel, sound, and ball speed.
The putters (with model details from Toulon)
Alcatraz, Alcatraz DB (double bend), Alcatraz CS (center shaft), Alcatraz long

Toulon says: “The all-new 2025 Collection Alcatraz once again represents our largest mallet in this year’s collection. The ’25 Alcatraz features a sleek, streamlined design with softer radii and blends. Alcatraz features a milled 6061 Aluminum sole plate that redistributes weight from the center to the perimeter, increasing forgiveness through a higher Moment of Inertia (MOI). Our front-loaded milled round weights enhance ball speed consistency, while the Deep Tuna Face Mill produces a soft, yet satisfying sound and feel.”
Alcatraz Mini H1, Alcatraz Mini H4.5, Alcatraz Mini DB

Toulon says: “All new for 2025, the Alcatraz Mini takes styling direction from both our Alcatraz mallet and our older Seattle model. Alcatraz Mini is not as deep from front to back as Alcatraz but has a blade length that is very similar in length to larger Alcatraz to help us maintain high MOI. Alcatraz Mini takes many of the blends and radii that made the larger Alcatraz such a crowd-favorite and reduces it to a smaller footprint to cater towards golfers who enjoy a more compact profile. Alcatraz Mini is a multi-material design that features a milled 6061 Aluminum sole plate that allows us to remove mass from the center and move it to the perimeter to increase MOI for more forgiveness. Our front loaded milled round weights improve ball speed consistency across the face and combine with our new Deep Tuna Face Mill to create a soft, yet satisfying sound and feel.”
Las Vegas H1, Las Vegas H7, Las Vegas DB

Toulon says: “The 2025 redesign of our popular Las Vegas model emphasizes softness in every detail. We refined the H1 hosel, rounded the top line, softened the wing edges, and added a curve to the flange. As a result, the new model is more visually appealing, and the internal and external design changes have greatly improved its sound and feel, making it softer
than ever. The Las Vegas features a milled 6061 Aluminum sole plate that redistributes weight to the perimeter, enhancing forgiveness through increased MOI. Our front loaded milled round weights improve ball speed consistency across the face and combine with our new Deep Tuna Face Mill to create a soft, yet satisfying sound and feel.”
Atlanta H1, Atlanta H4.5, Atlanta DB

Toulon says: “The new Atlanta is now slightly larger — while maintaining its classic and tour winning mid-mallet shape. Every edge, chamfer and radius was changed. From the new H1 hosel design to the more rounded top line, everything has been made softer, making Atlanta more pleasing visually. The internal and external design changes markedly improve sound and feel. The slightly larger footprint also bumps up the MOI, making ‘25 Atlanta more forgiving. New for 2025, we have introduced an H1 hosel for Atlanta. This hosel creates a similar amount of toe hang to a traditional blade, making it an ideal leaping off point for a player considering moving from a blade to the forgiveness of a mid-mallet. Atlanta H1 is a great complement for a player with a moderate arc to their stroke path. The new Atlanta features twin-milled 6061 Aluminum sole plates. We’ve added sound enhancing gaskets in the pockets to create the frequency and duration of the sound to create the feel we wanted. Our front loaded milled round weights improve ball speed consistency across the face and comb.”
Charleston H1, Charleston H7

Toulon says: “The mallet trend on tour is in full force. And leading the trend forward is the emergence of mid-mallet designs — many of which feature hosels that encourage the toe flow associated with blade style putters. Our new mid-mallet — Charleston — takes the trend a step further in the creation of a new mallet shape that grew out of one of our most loved designs ever: Madison. The Charleston borrows the shoulder and bumper inspiration from the popular Madison and blends it into a beautiful ear shaped mid-mallet. The result is an all new shape that flows naturally with its organic form, and sounds and feels amazing. The redesigned H1 hosel features more aggressive blends, which perfectly complement the rounded shape of the Charleston. With a toe hang of 35 degrees, it is an ideal fit for players who have a moderate arc in their stroke path. Our front loaded milled round weights improve ball speed consistency across the face.”
Miami H1, Miami DB

Toulon says: “Combining milled stainless steel with milled 6061 Aluminum and milled weights of various materials, we’ve engineered and created an all-new shape whose looks, sound, feel and performance is simply special. Using the denser stainless steel material in the front section of the design helped us create the more forward CG placement we sought, as well as the sound and feel we desired. Lightweight 6061 Aluminum was used to help us create both the shape we wanted and the performance goals we sought. The result is an all-new mallet shape that is extremely forgiving and easy to align. The Miami H1 is artfully shaped and blended — with an emphasis on soft radii, blends and overall profile. The crowned mallet design has wonderful flow from every angle.”
Carlsbad H1, Carlsbad DB

Toulon says: “All new for 2025, Carlsbad is an artful execution of modern multi-material mallet design and celebrates the innovation of Carlsbad, the golf equipment capital of the world. Thanks to our wonderful relationship with Callaway, we are proud to present our version of the iconic Two Ball putter. One of the most renowned and successful putter designs in history, the Two Ball has helped millions of golfers improve their putting through enhanced alignment. It has also won hundreds of tournaments on professional tours worldwide, including numerous major championships. Our design combines milled stainless steel and 6061 Aluminum with weights from various materials. This innovative shape provides a unique look, sound, feel, and improved performance. The multi-material approach allows for a larger putter footprint and an extended face length, significantly enhancing its Moment of Inertia (MOI). The result is an all-new mallet shape that is extremely forgiving and easy to align.”
Hollywood (H1)

Toulon says: “We are proud to introduce an all-new blade for 2025: Hollywood. The intent for Hollywood was to soften the shoulders and bumpers to create more visual flow to the inherent tailored design. Increasing the radii and softening all the edges, Hollywood takes the beauty of San Diego to another level. Redesigning the shoulders to flow in a concave shape rather than a straight downward slope helped create the visual movement we wanted. The softening continued to the sole with our new modified tri-sole design. Leaving a relatively flat center section ensures the new Hollywood will sole perfectly, while the gentle heel and toe relief add to the vintage look.”
Austin (H1)

Toulon says: “The 2025 Austin has softer bumpers, a newly-designed slightly wider cavity and a more radiused top line. The H1 hosel features softer blends for a more vintage look. Our front loaded milled round weights improve ball speed consistency across the face, and combines with our new Deep Tuna face mill to create a soft, yet satisfying sound and feel. Subtle tweaks to the 2025 Austin design created a cleaner look and showcases our design ethos that if done right, less is always more.”
New York City (H1)

Toulon says: “The 2025 New York City design is an evolution of the 2024 model. Featuring a milled 6061 Aluminum sole plate, it removes mass from the center to allow for a larger head with perimeter weighting. This creates a striking look and makes the New York City our most forgiving blade yet. NYC’s larger head shape requires a longer H1.5 hosel design to keep everything in proper proportion. Our front-loaded, milled round weights enhance ball speed consistency across the face. Additionally, we have introduced the Deep Tuna Face Mill, which creates a soft yet satisfying feel. The alignment aid moves from the flange line to the top line to help improve the golfer’s start line.”
Equipment
Neal Shipley, AKA, the “Big Fridge’s,” custom stamping
Neal Shipley was the first to admit that he enjoyed his food while in college. But since his days at Ohio State, he’s slimmed down and earned a PGA Tour Card.
That hasn’t stopped him from having fun with his wedge stampings, though it’s led to some misunderstandings.
On the 54 (degree), we have ‘Big Fudge,'” Shipley told GolfWRX. “It was supposed to be ‘Big Fridge,’ so this happened a little while ago. ‘Big Fridge’ was a nickname between my college teammates and I, with ‘fridge’ meaning stomach, a big stomach.

“We told the Ping guys to put … ‘Big Fridge’ on it, and I think maybe some bad cell service or something, and they thought I said ‘fudge,’ so they put fudge on it.”
On Shipley’s 50-degree he also continues the food theme, this time with his go-to order at the “Golden Arches,” and his stamping “DONS 7.”
“The number 7 meal, the two cheeseburger meal, that was my McDonald’s order, back when I would have McDonald’s frequently,” Shipley shared.
