Callaway launches Chrome Tour Triple Diamond + 2025 ERC Soft, Supersoft golf balls
Another golf ball is joining the Chrome Tour family (which presently includes Chrome Tour, and Chrome Tour X) and two staples of the company’s ball lineup are reconfigured for 2025.
The Carlsbad-based company today announced the Chrome Tour Triple Diamond golf ball and the 2025 ERC Soft and Supersoft balls.
Chrome Tour Triple Diamond

Chrome Tour Triple Diamond joins Chrome Tour and Chrome Tour X as a better player’s golf ball that flies lower, feels firmer, and spins lower on full shots than Chrome Tour X.
Chrome Tour Triple Diamond will be available at retail on January 31 at a price of $54.99/dozen.
Eric Lober, who’s our Senior Director of Golf Ball R&D: “It’s basically a lower spinning Chrome Tour X. And it’s really designed for the player that’s looking for that low spin and the benefits in how that low spin benefits that type of player, a player that spins the ball too much. It’s a golf ball that’s going to help bring that spin down, optimize trajectory, maximize distance, and be more consistent into the wind. Really, it’s a golf ball that uses our Chrome Tour platform with technologies. It starts with a Hyper Fast Soft Core. This ball will be fast, fast off the tee. You’re going to feel it. And it has a seamless Tour arrow, its own surface geometry designed for that low spin. Really, this golf ball is going to be long off the tee. It’s going to feel great. It’s going to have a urethane cover, give you great check spin around the green. And it has consistency.”
ERC Soft: Callaway’s new ERC Soft delivers even more ball speed and soft feel, according to the company, powered by a Hyper Elastic SoftFast Core and High-Speed Mantle.
ERC Soft will be available at retail January 31 at a price of $39.99/dozen.

Supersoft: Callaway’s best-selling design is reconfigured for more speed and softer feel, with design attention focused on the cover and core designs.
Supersoft will be available at retail January 31 at a price of $24.99/dozen.

Neal Shipley, AKA, the “Big Fridge’s,” custom stamping
Neal Shipley was the first to admit that he enjoyed his food while in college. But since his days at Ohio State, he’s slimmed down and earned a PGA Tour Card.
That hasn’t stopped him from having fun with his wedge stampings, though it’s led to some misunderstandings.
On the 54 (degree), we have ‘Big Fudge,'” Shipley told GolfWRX. “It was supposed to be ‘Big Fridge,’ so this happened a little while ago. ‘Big Fridge’ was a nickname between my college teammates and I, with ‘fridge’ meaning stomach, a big stomach.

“We told the Ping guys to put … ‘Big Fridge’ on it, and I think maybe some bad cell service or something, and they thought I said ‘fudge,’ so they put fudge on it.”
On Shipley’s 50-degree he also continues the food theme, this time with his go-to order at the “Golden Arches,” and his stamping “DONS 7.”
“The number 7 meal, the two cheeseburger meal, that was my McDonald’s order, back when I would have McDonald’s frequently,” Shipley shared.
