TaylorMade Qi35 drivers hit the USGA conforming list
The 2024 FedEx Cup Fall series was packed with new equipment launches and releases, and now, new TaylorMade drivers have officially hit the USGA conforming clubs database.
Last year, TaylorMade released its new Qi10 drivers, a family that included the Qi10 standard, the Qi10 Max, and the Qi10 LS drivers. Now, as of December 8, 2024, the USGA database of conforming driver heads includes four new TaylorMade “Qi35” drivers, including a Qi35 (Version 1), a Qi35 LS (Version 2), a Qi35 Max, and a Qi35 LS (LH).
At this point, all we have so far are the black-and-white images from the USGA website, plus the brief information listed for each driver entry. We’ve presented all of that information below, as we await our first in-hand looks at the drivers.
Will we first see the new Qi35 drivers at the 2024 Grant Thornton Invitational? Or maybe the 2024 PNC Championship? Or will we have to wait until The Sentry 2025 in Hawaii?
That remains to be seen. Until then, enjoy the photos and information below, and don’t forget to check out the GolfWRX forum thread to see all the speculation.

Neal Shipley, AKA, the “Big Fridge’s,” custom stamping
Neal Shipley was the first to admit that he enjoyed his food while in college. But since his days at Ohio State, he’s slimmed down and earned a PGA Tour Card.
That hasn’t stopped him from having fun with his wedge stampings, though it’s led to some misunderstandings.
On the 54 (degree), we have ‘Big Fudge,'” Shipley told GolfWRX. “It was supposed to be ‘Big Fridge,’ so this happened a little while ago. ‘Big Fridge’ was a nickname between my college teammates and I, with ‘fridge’ meaning stomach, a big stomach.

“We told the Ping guys to put … ‘Big Fridge’ on it, and I think maybe some bad cell service or something, and they thought I said ‘fudge,’ so they put fudge on it.”
On Shipley’s 50-degree he also continues the food theme, this time with his go-to order at the “Golden Arches,” and his stamping “DONS 7.”
“The number 7 meal, the two cheeseburger meal, that was my McDonald’s order, back when I would have McDonald’s frequently,” Shipley shared.
